Loved your whale watching excursion! We also took a tour with Allen Marine (although on a smaller craft) and saw Flame earlier this year (first week of June). Funny though, our guide told us the baby's name was Bang. Sounds like they might've had a name change. Bang, or Cinder, was super active and quite playful. Such a fun time!

Your bus driver back from the whale watch seemed quite fun! I saw a quick peek at Mendenhall glacier in your vid! Keep up the good work!

We saw so many whales in early June. None of them were really close to the ship. A friend went on the whale watching tour and showed me fabulous pictures 🐋

If you love whale watching you should visit Hervey Bay Queensland Australia where I live from July to October as we are known as whale capital of Australia we have humpbacks as this a stopping point to breed on there way to Great Barrier Reef

Every time we are on Carnival my wife gets one of those REALLY BIG cupcakes from Java Blue. It takes her all day to eat it. But it's not a Carnival Cruise if she doesn't get one. 😀

It IS the same ship! They offer the Tracy Arm excursion leaving from Juneau, too. We almost took this tour, but I really wanted to walk to Nugget Falls and was afraid we wouldn't have enough time with a 2:30 departure time. Thank you for posting this - I now know I made the right decision!

Please consider booking excursions with the owners themselves so all the money doesn't go back to the ship. It's just kind of responsible tourism...... Another great vlog!!!!!!!
@parodeejay2 жыл бұрын
We typically do! We've booked direct with Harv & Marv's in the past and loved it. This was a last-minute decision because we had an independent tour booked direct with the owners and found out the night before that they wouldn't be running the tour due to lack of interest, but we didn't get into all that in the vlog. So it was either not do a whale watch at all, or book one last-minute through the ship.

Great. Would love to see more videos at specialty restaurants trying something you wouldn't normally eat!

15:54 Do you guys ever experience fruit flies or gnats in your staterooms or bathrooms? I was recently on MSC Seaside and although a beautiful ship I was killing gnats in my room the whole trip.

Is Splendor the same as Horizon? Heard nice things about that ship also.
@parodeejay2 жыл бұрын
No, Splendor was built for Costa cruise line around 2008/2009 and transferred to Carnival, but it technically falls somewhere between the Conquest class and Dream class.

Quick question do you need to buy two separate boxes of covid testing kits (one for each of you)? Or can you use one pack that has two test kits.
