Good evening guys, and welcome back to Car Obsession. Thank you very much for dropping in on my first drive video with the new third generation Isuzu D-Max. I may follow this up with an off-road only video, but I need to have a proper look through the footage. This will be my last video for around a month or so as I'm currently recovering from a sudden death in the family - thanks to all the lovely support I have received so far.

@Metallica Blackend Hi there, thanks for watching, and thanks for the feedback. This was a first drive video and I only had limited time with the car. If this were a full review (I've got this on loan later this month) I would have carried out back seat testing 👍🏽.

We have a Isuzu dealer in our village in North Wales and they seem to sell loads of Isuzu pick ups, you must get a free sheep dog with every truck as they are always in the back barking away.😄😄😄😄😄

Hi from Nippon. It seems to me that Suzuki is building quite interesting cars. By the way, a few months ago, in reply to my question, you advised me to get a Honda Fit . I thought about it for a while, but I didn’t really like the design. I prefer the previous one. Then, I watched your videos about Suzuki Swift . I rented one for a day and was agreeably surprised. I can understand your smile when you drove it. I bought a Swift RS ( with swift paddles like my Citroën which I ll get rid of soon). My family insisted that I get a safer car ( with all possible safety features that my C3 doesn’t have ) considering my age….. I hope I ll enjoy my brand new Swift soon. It’s not as popular as it used to be a few years ago Ranking 13th, first place is of course the Yaris) in Japan. I didn’t buy the Hybrid version as you mentioned it in the video, it’s not really worth the higher price. Anyway , I think I made the right decision. It’s not going to be easy to get rid of my Citroën, I love it but my wife never wanted to drive it. I continue watching your videos by all means. Hope your two girls are doing fine . ( babysitting is my new parttime job….. my granddaughter is two months old

Can you drive this vehicle in 4H on a dry, tarmac surfaced road, as you can with the Mitsubishi SuperSelect II system, without the transmission locking-up, or is it like most pick-ups (and loads of 4x4s) only able to use 4H on loose surfaces like gravel and when off-road?
@clooperman37453 жыл бұрын
You can only drive the lsuzu D Max in 2 wheel drive on high traction surfaces, ie the road.

What kind of people buy a pickup ? Mainly those living in rural areas ? Here, they are almost nonexistent. Hi from Nippon !
@CarObsession3 жыл бұрын
Hi Richard, thanks for watching. Yes, people in rural areas, as well as trades people, farmers, etc.
@roninesce83623 жыл бұрын
@Richard Strauss I can add “poseurs” to the list of potential buyers. I live in the urban area and I’m getting one soon, only because I like the vehicle 😛
@richardstrauss76523 жыл бұрын
@@roninesce8362 Hi. It’s Richard from Japan. Never seen one here. Since we live not too far from the Bay of Tokyo an c the Pacific Ocean, I can see mostly young people driving Toyota or American pickups, I can imagine they carry their road bikes, surfboards, etc. Maybe some of them just want to show off. In the past, foreign cars were a kind of status symbol here. Nowadays, they ve become quite common but are more expensive than similar Japanese ones because of the import taxes. ( Not fair!)

2022. my wife has just ordered an AT 35 in Orange.........wait for her vlog......not one of these "hey I have this car for a day". but it is going to be her daily driver.

You make it sound like a negative that I had the car for a short period of time? For what it's worth I did follow this up with a more thorough review when I had the car longer, which can be found here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/d4WngGuwa5emiqc . I also did a walkaround video as well: kzbin.info/www/bejne/jH-ylZ-Yhtdom7c - thanks for watching Stephen.

@@CarObsession Sorry maybe I didn't write what I meant to say properly...Have to admit that yours are some of the very best reviews, very professional, but you have to admit that most professional reviewers get the car for a day or even a week. But my wife's vlog will be as a daily driver for however many years she keeps it. No competition for you and other reviewers as it will be something different. Here's a 'tip' maybe you could, at some time in every twelvemonth ...re-review something that you wished you could keep and see if it still had the same effect now? (Nobody else does that).
@CarObsession2 жыл бұрын
@@Pinzpilot101 I like the idea, but I'm not too sure how much viewership that would gain. In my opinion it would just be mostly going over old ground. I personally think another KZbinr would have done that by know if it was likely to get views. Thanks for watching.

More people have android than iOS, so it seems ridiculous to place an emphasis on the minority system

@@CarObsession on a global basis i think it's about 87% android, in some countries apple may have more market share, but in others they dip below 20%, in India which is huge market android has a 97% market share. Apple only has a larger marker share in the US, just above 50% and Japan about 67%.
