I discovered "The Carol Burnett Show" in 1996, when I was 13 years old. My Dad would turn it on, and it was the only show that he wouldn't change the channel, to wait for the commercials to end. I found this show so funny, that I started recording the episodes to have for later. I gave those tapes to my Dad when I got a little older, and he later told me that he would watch them when he was thinking, or worried about me (I had a dangerous job). So, I later bought him every season on DVD, but now I'm much closer and safer than before; it's funny how a show like this can bring people so much closer together! I also love Lucille Ball: I think I was born a few generations too late lol!

AxelSituation Are you thinking of the crew from today or from the 70’s, because the SNL of today isn’t worth the gum you chew but back then they had some chops of their own when it came to comedy Chevy Chase, Bill Murray, John Belushi, Dan Aykroyd, Gilda Radner those and many more from that era were real talents, I can’t even name one SNL member of today and to be honest I don’t care to know either.

Being a former real estate salesperson, I think that this is extremely funny, especially since my Mother is in a similar situation with a highway widening project. SNL hasn't been great comedy in decades, and that's assuming it ever was. I wouldn't know as I've only seen episodes from the last 25 or so years, and from then until now I've noticed a steady decrease in quality. I think it's only reasonable to assume that this decline started well before I was watching, meaning it may have once been good or even great. It's definitely not now though. I don't think I've found an SNL sketch funny since sometime in the early 2000's, and even that wasn't laugh out loud funny.
