I had the pleasure of spending 3 8 hour days , in a class with Carol. her then husband Joe Hamilton and their 13 year old daughter Carrie, both gone now Carrie took a liking to me and kind of hung around with me. She was a very delightful teenager and really enjoyed her company

Parenting is tough stuff. I'm not a parent but I always see parenting a difficult child as a wondering if I react this way, maybe that's better for him/her and then if things don't go the way you had hoped, you kick yourself and wonder if another way would have been better. So, you do that other way and it fails, too...and you just don't know what you're going to do and struggle with worry constantly. Carol has been through a lot. I really feel for her. I hope she is now at a place of peace in her life. It won't ever be the same after losing a child but I hope she can look back and see that she did her best and Carrie did her best. She got sick and sometimes there is nothing more to do than to lay down and die.

Being soft as you love someone, I mean in general; a daughter, brother, wife, husband, etc. can many times be not helpful at all. Can be misleading for both parts, the loving and the beloved one. Tough love can be rewarded too.

Interviewer is awful . “ what were those sleepless nights like ? “ why did you save all the letters from her ? And so on . This is national tv and this is the best we can do? An overly botoxed gal asking inane questions
