C'est si bon... Thoroughly enjoyed it! I watched it just after hearing Joshua Bell's rendition of Bruch's Scottish Fantasy Finale on the radio. Now all I need is to find my copy of the album "Around the Room" by kids with the Chelsea House Orchestra. Perfect for a rainy day with a good cuppa.

I like when you include some "behind the scenes". It is interesting to see how you manage to record yourself. I'm loving your book. I've already gone through most of it! You should definitely consider doing another one with some of the other arrangements you've created. ;)

Thank you!! I've outlined another Irish book of popular session tunes (at least they are popular in Colorado...) and have been working on it. I can't decide if I want to do another book of trios, or to keep it as duets. The trio aspect made my first book so difficult to create! When I first started, I had no idea trying to compose trios could complicate music so much (well...compose the harmonies. Carolan composed the melodies =) )...

WOW! I didn't realize just how much work goes in in creating a video. I have wondered how you managed not to hit your Clone in the face with the bow tip, or on the other side, your elbow. Now your demonstrations at the end of the peace gives the answer. I guess you spend a lot of time syncing sound tracks together to get perfect harmony. Maybe a large rubber band could help hold your phone, or maybe a different phone clip. Mine keeps falling out the front of my clip... lol :)) I don't think you have a 60x60 feet Green Screen cloth to place yourself in in just any kind of setting, like the commercial studios do. I had a dream one night you were playing the Violin in the Garden of The Gods, I guess about 70 miles from Denver. Around Sunrise those mountains look majestic! That would really be a feat to do without actually being there. But you have the imagination and the know how to be practically anywhere you want! Wow!, It's been 1 year since I found your channel last year in July. How time flies.

Thank you! It's a lot of work, but fun. =) I've filmed 2 videos at the Garden of the God's, but I think I should make a video that captures it better. The videos were really simple...

👏👍 Bravo! BTW: Regarding the phone, one must improvise, adapt and overcome. One solution would be to place it in a holder, and then attach it to a string of cord to be worn around the neck. Happy fiddling! 😉 🎻 🎶

I love the hurdy gurdy!! It's such a cool instrument. =)
@BlitzsieLDiscoLSnow4 жыл бұрын
@@KatyAdelson Thanks! I've been playing it for almost two years now, and mainly playing French folk because that's what my teacher likes, but I come from a classical clarinet background so I've been adapting a couple of those songs for gurdy as well. My next instrument has more scale options though. My current gurdy only has melodystrings in g, and my next will have one in c as well :)

The arrangement of this is the last song in my 15 Irish fiddle airs music book. There is a link to it in the video deception if you are interested. I'm also working on video tutorials of all the songs, but still need some more time to finish filming them. 😊

Katy Adelson Thanks for the reply. I started watching you when I come across with your “Drunken Sailor” and subscribed. I was not in the music mood since Covid’s arrival but got busy at home with my other hobby. Your Violin Trio Version is an inspiration to practice violin again. So I practiced just scales today. Will watch your tutorials.
