Many Warm Undertone People Think Warm Colours Make Skin Jaundiced Cuz They've Been in Cool For Long

Finding out your skin undertone has been a hot topic in recent years whereas colour analysis has been a bit dormant - it is popular and mainstream again. My advice: put aside everything you have thought or been told (even at makeup counters too perhaps) about your undertone before entering a colour analysis. Looking at your veins and whether you burn/tan is a waste of time in the colour analysis processes and are never looked at as an example.
I find soooo many thought they had a cool undertone (has that been trendy?) but after a colour analysis they were given a warm palette result. And because they have been wearing cool colours for so long all of a sudden when trying out warm colours their skin has a new glow on it that they are not used to… (it is really their natural colouring maximized).
Colour analysis is about maximizing the natural colouring of YOU and not fighting against it.

This was so helpful . Thanks so much ! I think for years most makeup companies and color analysts feel if you have gray/white /salt and pepper you are automatically "COOL"

This happened to me! My skin reacts similarly to cool and warm as the woman's skin in this video does. I was wearing cool colors and got used to my skin looking drained. My skin in cool colors made me look higher contrast than I am because my eyes and hair just looked dark without their color really showing. In fact, through being analyzed, I learned that I'm low contrast and a deep autumn and in my palette, my skin gains its color back and you can see that my hair has a warm, reddish tinge and you can now see the color in my eyes rather than them just looking generally dark and shaded against my faded skin in cool colored clothing and makeup.

as a true spring can definitely relate to just being used to looking drab and dull, and just thinking it’s how i look!

I wonder if photo examples of jaundice vs warm glow could assist more enthusiasts to see the difference? If such a thing is possible without causing offence to those photographed. It is very interesting how undertone can come down to more subtle differences. Thank you for the interesting video!

Thanks so much for this video and especially showing a client with gray hair. She looks lovely in the Warm Spring colours. That gray and navy did not enhance her. I’ve seen a lot of videos that say your palette changes when you have gray hair even when you have a warm undertone. As a True Autumn, I don’t see how wearing cooler colours will look good on me if I choose to grow out my gray/ white hair. They totally drain me right now. Thanks to your client for sharing her photos.

yeah i never understood that! i’ve seen people lament not being able to wear their warm colours anymore and i’m sat there like… just wear them! 😊

I was watching a popular makeup youtuber this morning, she has gone even blonde-r and she swears she’s a cool skin tone but after watching so many of your videos and having my own color analysis done, I found myself saying,”nope, you are a true spring my dear.” 😂😂😂 not that I’m a pro by any means but her darker natural hair color makes her skin look more vibrant and clear, her eyes pop … I guess all this to say is I totally look at myself and others differently now… it’s truly an amazing thing!

your client looks gorgeous in her warm colours!! i’m a spring too and used to look similar to her before pics, serious, grey, older etc. and I just assumed that’s what I looked like! the after pics could be a different person! vibrant, younger, and glowing!

It's so interesting to see the examples where Cools are actually Warms. So much of the time, we're shown people who are Cool wearing Warms and it makes them look physically ill, in the jaundiced way, or they blend into the color. But with the Cools who are actually Warm, they look like the color has drained out of their face in an ashen way. Both look off or potentially sickly, with the wrong colors, but in different ways. It's so cool to see how the color underneath in the skin affects this.

I always thought I had a cool undertone, dying my hair brilliant white and black 😂 I did notice I did look better when I put on makeup, but when I stopped wearing makeup I didn’t want to look sickly anymore and turns out I’m a soft autumn. and now that I’m wearing that palette I’m glowing!

Please do dark autumn with white(not gray) hair. Most autumn colors are no longer working! My skin has lost warmth as well.

People still think I'm warm toned, but I'm not. I always thought I'm rather warm, as well. But, mostly I dressed in black and cool colors, anyways. 😂 It was just finding a good makeup is daunting but neutral warm still blends nicely, even though you see the tint differs from my skin. I just think my lips are a giveaway. 😂 They clearly have a cool tint and look like a plum color without lipstick. There's no warmth to them

I've only just discovered your channel so this may be really obvious if I look further, but where can I access the palettes you use? For the first time I've seen, in True Autumn, a whole palette of colours that I love to wear because I feel they suit me and I feel like that might be a good place to start, even if it ends up not being my final destination
