Thank you Carole for your honesty. That took guts. I'm an aspiring songwriter and I've bought your sheet music to study. College music schools don't teach what pop writers need to know.

She's so sweet. I love Burt and his music, sad to know that's what he was like but he admits it himself.

He didnt appear to be a good husband. Angie Dickinson said Burt should never have married and Carole basically said the same thing.

Parecem frustrações...ele nunca falou mal de nenhuma delas. Elegante até nisso.

Some guys should just stay playboys...not all are suited to marriage, Burt is my favourite composer but I imagine he is hard to live with, he may have mellowed with age now though...

Married to his music. Must have been Angie's legs. They were stunning.

Most creative people are complex because they are not vanilla. Men who make good husbands are usually vanilla, average looking and boring to most women. You can’t have everything.

So true. Burt was extraordinarily handsome, it would be natural to feel insecure as long as you were not full of yourself. And Carole was more than stunning herself but grounded (& relatively unassuming).

Remember that when Burt and Carole married, they exchanged wedding vows. Instead of saying "I Do" the best Burt could muster was "I'll try." I'll try? That marriage was doomed from the start.

he certainly wasn't the great husband, both of these people were super talented, and when you are in that business, so many good looking people are around and you can caught up in in the fast type of life and just keeping finding folks easy enough and then breaking up and doing it again, it's a shame that people in that business have so many temptations

"I don't think he's . . . great husband material" she said. I suspect that failing to think in those terms is common among men and women. We are almost all somewhat immature when we marry and need to learn how to live with a spouse. While we are doing that we are also learning about ourselves.

Burt's successive wife was hardly as attractive as Carole; there were likely 'chemistry' issues afloat. Burt's a genius... love him-

dang, nice lips. And she's always had big gorgeous wide-set eyes. And too much makeup. SO UNNECESSARY! He's my fav songwriter. Too bad about the womanizing. Lots of good looking people are that way, both male and female. And that was a very odd gift to give a woman.

Like Angie's legs? OOh I disliked this woman when Burt re-married. I see now it wasn't her fault and she seems to have received the same Burt treatment. Angie went through allot and I aways felt mad at him because Angie seems such a nice person. As a rabid fan I've seen and read enough to know how hurt or angry she was. They have both been very candid about their lives. Like Angie maintained a really nice friendship with her first husband. I don't think it was like that with Burt but I wonder if Burt may have apologized to Angie much later. Burt was a genius! and I've loved Angie since I was 11 years old.

It is a shame that Carol felt so inferior to Burt in the looks department. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder and I have to say that Burt isn't what I consider handsome. Carol, I think, was the better looking of the two. And, so what if she wasn't tall? There are many short women who are real beauties and lots of men are attracted to them.
