Much gratitude to Carole King! As a child I know many hardships, but escaping meant Carole was sweeping blissfully through me.. When I was a teenager Tapestry barely left my stereo, it’s what made my soul safe again! A million miles of thank you.. 💋

In therapy over 30 years ago for extreme childhood abuse (of every kind) I listened to this song over and again... because it gave me hope to believe in something I knew not of at the time - happiness. It wasn't so easily found by me though. It took a lot of work, but I found "way over yonder." Despite listening to this song literally thousands of times, knowing every beat, breath, and pause, it never gets old and has the same emotional impact on me. Thank you Carol King for your brilliance and gift.

As my sweet cousin was transitioning to the other side her sister, niece and long time friend where holding hands with her as they sang this song. I was sitting at the end of her bed. I suddenly saw a very bright light streak across her bed. No one else saw it. But I know it was spirit being with her and will be with her when her time came. It wasn’t long after that she crossed over.

This song is what I imagine entering heaven feels like. Its symbolises to me the end of the most tiresome and whirlwind of a journey to the most peaceful, abundant and loving place. Somewhere that is in reach when I listen to this song. Truly takes me to a place of such profound beauty. This song guided and protected me when I experienced times of complete loss. I used to listen to it everyday in my little car driving through my home village, going nowhere, looking for answers. It helps me feel found. What an incredible woman.
