God I loved the artists from the 70's... Carol King, Carly Simon, James Taylor, Karen Carpenter to name a few... it was an era like no other with raw talent... no auto tune, etc. I miss it terribly.

when Tapestry was released in '73 I HAD to get a new stereo, a $300 Toshiba ($3000+ in today's $$) to appreciate the masterpiece. She wrote every song & they were all hits + this album was #1 for months. I still have the original album & an even better system to play it on.

Hi, My dad was a white fleet cab driver back in the 80's, he ctrl had the chance to meet you and listen to you play I New Orleans. This song always hits me in the heart. One of my favorite music composer/singers. I was surprised to learn Ms. King co-wrote, "Go Away Little Girl", the most popular version being sung Donnie Osmond. The lyrics are very bubblegum pop, but the underlying music is well written.

Wow what a trip. This has always been one of my favorite Carole King songs. Every time I hear it I relive a heartbreak in high school. I was a junior and she was a senior we had dated for about 4 months and she clearly got her message across to me when this song came on the radio and she wanted me to listen closely to what the song said.
