I believe that this corps that year is the only one that I think has ever been PERFECTLY balanced, incredible.

The ballad makes me cry every time. It's such a beautiful part of the show; we played it in our marching band, it holds a special place for me. Thank you Carolina Crown!

What kind of filters/effects do you use for audio? Love the tone. So much.

You know its a great horn line when the judging community has to score other lines down to leave room for a perfect 20 at finals. Nuts.

Open up the Firefox browser. In the URL space type “addon” and hit enter. The Firefox Add-Ons page will open. In the search window, top right, type the word “video” A list of add ons will populate the field, look for video download helper and click on it. On the next page to open there will be a large green button that reads “Add to Firefox” Follow the instructions and you should be set. Hope this helped!

The first piece was outside the circle. Everything else was in front of block formations and probably a little too close. Was using a Tascam DR-05 Portable Digital Recorder and a Fuji S2000HD camera. If I have time I'll put the audio with the video or just post the videos, sound is pretty goon on video also. With the Tascam I can record in 24 bit/ 96KHZ and have plenty of room on the back end for editing: equalizing, compressing and using filters to get a great sound.

Is there any way you could post up a download to the audio, so I can truly enjoy this without the innate streaming compression?

What I would do to go back to championship day and hug everybody in that hornline. There are simply no words to describe the level of perfection this group held!

I knew buying the finals stream was going to be worth the $69, but I didn't know I was going to be witnessing the embodiment of world class perfection. As a 5-year marching vet (flugel/mello) and a former brass captain for the Keesler Air Force Drum & Bugle Corps I can honestly say that I have never heard a better hornline and likely never will. Just unbelievable.

Soo cool. I was crossing my fingers when they were in Allentown to get a chance to record them up close and personal but it never came :( That Tascam is sweet - I use a Zoom H4n so it was nice to compare both!

A drum and bugle corps, also known as a drum corps, is a musical marching unit (similar to a marching band) consisting of brass instruments, percussion instruments, and color guard. Typically operating as independent non-profit organizations, drum corps perform in competitions, parades, festivals, and other civic functions. Participants of all ages are represented within the drum and bugle corps activity, but the majority are between the ages of 13 and 22

You know why everyone loves Crown's sound? You can actually hear the low brass and the meat the baritones give. (and this is coming from a mello)

What did you record this with? It sounds amazing, clear, doesn't really break up except for the tiniest bit when the hornline is playing so loud that the mic can't handle it.
