My concern is which team(s) has Gary Bettman been directed to influence the officials to side with/make irrelevant come playoff time. This league is a business that's about making money and I get it. Would be nice if they just let the guys play and let the chips fall as they will but it hasn't felt like that's been the case in this league for many years.

My concern is mostly that we still don't have the guy who plunks himself right in front of the net and can't be moved (Recchi and Weight from 2006). Noesen does it the best, but he's not on that level. When games are tight, like most playoff games are.. slamming in a rebound is usually the easiest way to score.

Also that was totally reopening old wounds for Gold, I'm sure we will see him at this years parade fingers crossed;)

Biggest concerns are still probably goal scoring in key moments. It has gotten a TON better with Kuzy and Guentzel however as we saw from the Pittsburgh game yes it was for sure an off game but we needed goal scoring as that game was ONLY 2-1. Two empty netters was just a waste of Canes GA and Differential. Didn't mean Pittsburgh is a better overall team. There is a way to fix any goal scoring issues though. When Jesper Fast returns it will be time to update the lines a little. I would love to say first line Guentzel, Aho and Svech. Second line Jarvis, Teuvo and Necas. But there are issues there. Svech has not been the same lately and we don't know if he will be back to full come playoffs which is mildly concerning and the second issue is Teuvo would have to learn center and the third issue is Jarvis is already playing dang good on that top line. Full Svech is better than Jarvis but Svech is in rough patch and most certainly worse than Jarvis right now. But if the Canes were to get Svech back at his best for playoffs goal scoring issues would be gone. But a revamp of lines when Jesper Fast returns and everyone is healthy should happen and I think could happen.
