dude seriously nothing to upset about. i thought the canes looked like super heroes in this game... was absolutely amazing hockey to watch. chris kreider put up his legacy game in that third period. just a great series as well, almost ended game 4 when rangers hit 6 posts, and canes could have forced game 7 but hit 3 posts of their own tonight. thats hockey. canes will be back. rangers need to go win a cup.

Freddy is good. The Rangers are Presidents trophy winners, they are the best team in the league, don’t knock the Canes for losing to them in a seven game series.

Not only is Freddy having health problems but he gets real hot and then gets real cold. The Canes need steady and consistent goaltending.

@@CarolinaBuckrush Sure, which is a brand new puzzle. Even with throwaway comments of wanting to stay, Carolina won't be the only team interested in offering big money to Guentzel. Skjei will get a healthy contract. Pesce is probably gone. Necas' rights are looking more like they'll be traded. Canes would be smart to buyout Kotkaniemi. Martinook might have played himself out literally with game 6. Andddd then there's still seemingly no fix at goalie. Canes have assets to move but who's trading a good goalie? Would they trade for Ullmark and extend? He has a year left but also a limited NTC

@@BKDBut Martinook is very likely to take a team friendly deal. Necas will likely be traded and Turbo will likely walk. TDA looks to be fortunately walking too. A lot of the smaller names like Chatty will hopefully be signed to not too much. It might come down to either Pesce or Skjei but with some promising rookie defensemen it might not be too bad. Locking up RFAs also is important and starting extensions for those expiring next year. Guentzel does seem to want to stay in Carolina and has a promising line with Aho and Jarvis which can cause him to be more willing to take up a small discount.

@ScottStenlund Martinook isn’t that big of a name and will likely take a team friendly deal. Skjei and Pesce also sound like they might take on a bit of a discount. Guentzel is going to be the most expensive and should be prioritized. Necas is a RFA but will likely be traded. Turbo might be resigned but can easily be replaced. Most RFAs will be resigned and if not they will be traded like how Necas will likely be traded. A lot of the players seem to really like playing for the Canes and will likely resign. The two biggest I can see being gone next season are Turbo and Necas with Turbo walking and Necas’ rights being traded.

Also the Canes will likely bring back most of the players and those they don’t bring back will be replaced. TDA should walk because the Canes shouldn’t resign them. Other players have made it clear they want to resign with the Canes. They do really need to also extend a lot of players that will be expiring next year. The Canes do have a good bit of cap especially if they trade the rights to Necas and if Turbo walks because they can afford to replace him.
