This is a special Rangers team and even though I have a ton of confidence that they can win on any given night, if Carolina forced a Game 7 at MSG I don't know if they could have rebounded with the mounting pressure of being the team that blew a 3-0 lead. They were constantly being adjusted; I would see the Rangers actually bleed shots on goal over the course of a few minutes. On Kreider's first one: the Rangers, while watching Hurricanes film, noticed that their goalie, Anderson, frequently left a small space while covering the left post when moving from right to left. And on that goal you can see Zibanejad deliberately flick the puck right at his skate, and the puck wedging itself into that space, with Kreider knowing it was there to be slammed home. And it worked. Throughout this series when you see closeups of Anderson moving from his right to the left post the blade of his left skate is ON the base of the post BUT his ankle is canted inward, leaving that space.
