this my FAVORITE cd of all time. i love it so much. omg i love this song. the entire cd/album is pure brilliance. young musicians will find this and recover it in the future. caroline's spine was one of the most underrated/unrecognized greatest bands ever.

I remember being at Navy Basic training, working in the mess hall, singing some of these songs, and one of the other workers recognizing the song, and us talking about it. I forget which specific song, but this album is one of my favorites of all time.

I saw these dudes at a little bar just outside the University of Pittsburgh back in '99 or '00. If I recall correctly, they'd just played a show the day or two before also just off campus, which I'd missed. So I'm sitting in this little spot having a few, and these guys start setting up to play, and I recall they indicated they stopped in and asked the owner if they could play for a bit. So, planned or not, it certainly felt like an impromptu set. Now, I knew them due to buying Monsoon after hearing "Sullivan" for the first time...and I loved the album. They didn't introduce themselves, just started playing. And while they didn't open with "Sullivan," and I honestly don't recall which song they did, I remember immediately being like "holy shit, this is fuckin' Caroline's Spine!" Mind was blown, I sat and dug the entire set of maybe 45 minutes to an hour. While I think I was the only patron who recognized their music, everyone that was there definitely was into the show. Then afterwards, they just hung around, chatting, drinking and having a great time just like any other patron in the bar. While I can't say either band is responsible for influencing my individual style as a musician (bass), meeting these guys and Collective Soul not long after made lasting impressions on me. They were all down-home, humble, and just regular guys who loved to make music and play for others. Those interactions definitely were highly influential in my picking up an instrument some years later, and now I've been playing for about 20 years (and 13+ of them with my current band). Will always love them both unconditionally for encouraging me to be an open, friendly and grounded musician. ❤️😎🤘🏻

They don't suck. They like playing shows for their fans. They love the intimacy of small shows. Being able to intereact with every single one of their fans and friends. They're some of the sweetest, and most kind people you will ever meet.

This song marks a time when I was wondering where I would fit in. I am, if anything a hybrid, between the yuppies and generation x'ers! Rock on CS!

Lol, I have been going to Cspince concerts since, well, since I've been going to concerts. I was at their 20k bash in Tulsa(where I live) at the Cains ballroom. Seriously though, are they famous now and I was never clued in? I know their doing another concert(finally) but I still haven't heard them on stations outside of Oklahoma. I wish them the best of luck though.
