It's the handful of corps who own all the radio stations, and the streaming services, in league with the major labels, who want to concentrate all the focus on as few celebrities as possible, for the sake of efficiency and more reliable profitability. It's their fault that, unless you're the latest Disney product (Arianna, Olivia Rodrigo), get approval from Nashville or reality TV (Morgan Wallen, Luke Combs), or gain traction in the UK, where corporate control isn't quite as all-encompassing (Dua Lipa, Harry Styles, last year's surprise #1 Glass Animals), it's very, very hard to break through the charts. Caroline not blowing up isn't because people don't care about better music, but because the vast majority of people have never even heard of her. Unless you're in the relatively small percentage of people who consider music among the most important things in life, and are therefore willing to spend your precious time seeking out the best, there's almost no way you *would* ever hear of her - but just because most people have other things in their lives they prefer spending their free time on, doesn't mean they aren't capable of appreciating better music, or that they don't deserve the opportunity to easily discover it, by simply flipping thru stations rather than manually searching an app. This theft of opportunity is the main reason why it's bad to allow so few companies to own everything, particularly radio stations. Blame Reagan and Clinton for the de-regulation that allowed the corps to gobble everything up. This is the reason why we can no longer take it for granted that better music will rise to the top - that all the #1 hits are from the same handful of celebrities - that we've had an average of 11 different #1s each year over the last decade, rather than the 30+ per year we had in the 70s. It's not because people suddenly forgot how to make good music, or stopped caring about good music. It's because we allowed greedy corporations to choke off mass distribution. Leading to whole generations of people who don't even know that better is possible. Or who assume that lazy millennials/zoomers don't know how to make good music or they just have bad taste. Or, no offence, that people nowadays care more about celebrity than music - truly, I don't blame anyone for thinking that way, it's an easy perspective to fall in to. But I think there's a strong case to be made that younger millennials and zoomers actually care less about celebrity, and more about authentic expression, than GenX or older generations do. It's just that the musical horizon that's seen by most people has shrunk considerably, without the competition of thousands of independent radio stations jockeying to discover the next big act and taking chances on a greater variety of genres and styles, as they did for decades up until the corps succeeded in shutting them out shortly after de-regulation freed their hand to do so around the turn of the century. Anyone who's read this far has my deepest thanks, and I humbly ask that you consider my perspective and be a little less quick to blame the people for society's problems, when mega-corporations have so much more power and control than any of us do, while most of us are struggling just to get by. Solidarity.

In many of her songs it is her “non-physical” soul in speaking in song. I don’t think it has anything to do with reality but spirituality. This song is about truth and overcoming deception. Bunny is symbol for the white rabbit which Caroline puts into many of her songs. The white rabbit is symbolism for finding truths. This music video portrays the Roman story of the Minotaur labyrinth. She mixes her spirituality of overcoming evils by finding truth. I think she hides many secret meanings in all her songs. They’re very deep and intricate because of how much thought goes into her lyrics and music videos.

I love her videos too, though I’d still say there’s a decent level of production involved. This one for example would have required professional storyboarding/planning and choreography, a sound stage, set design and set builders, lighting and camera equipment, directors, mua’s, stylists and other crew, and post-production work like editing, colour grading and vfx work. So it’s not like a small indie artist who just films something on their phone, there’s still a decent level of production and therefore funding required.

I had to watch caroline open for dua lipa and I was overtaken. like; I didnt know how to feel about it in the moment but I knew I had to listen to her after, and I'm so glad I did. I had heard about bunny is a rider and intended to listen to it but never got around to it. I'm obsessed. this song is incredible and her musicianship is top tier. I've listened to pang 3 times through and I plan on listening again. I didnt really ever think her stuff was my kind of music, but I get excited just thinking about it, even if it isnt necessarily my taste. its growing on me so much and I'm happy to say I'm a caroline polachek fan.

I am glad she didn't fall for that common misconception that there is a need for a stupid, fancy Post-transmit, particle containment filter .
