I LOVE the big cakes! I made a chevron blanket using the Nightberry color and it turned out beautifully! I just picked up some of the Skinny Cakes, which I haven't tried before. One of the colors I chose was that Rainbow color. I agree, the Skinny Cakes are softer than the big cakes, but still nice yarn to work with. Thanks for sharing!

Let me tell you big cakes, after it's washed becomes so soft and drapey. I made myself a blanket and the more I was it the better it gets! So don't dismiss it.💕

Love the Big Cakes. Lion Brand Mandala pulls almost the same as the Skinny Cake. Mandala also has parts of the yarn where it tends to go pretty thin. I'm wondering if the Skinny Cakes does the same. It really looks pretty, though.

Yarn barf... happens to the best of us :). Never knew skinny cakes were way softer then big cakes. Id assume that they would feel the same. Good to know.

They don’t feel the same at all and huge difference right away! But, I was told that the Big Cake after a wash softens it up really good. So, give it a try 😉

Good review:) I was able to snag some of those Big Cakes for $3.97 on clearance at Michael's. Will be using for kids hats. I also tend to like the #3 yarns better. Recently encountered a yarn barf problem with a cake. I also will pull from the outside in future. LOL!
