Carousel Jar, remake of the OG. Which do u like best?

TUTORIAL DESCRIPTION:
In this tutorial I am remaking the carousel jar because the original wasn't filmed because it was years ago. I had requests to film it being made. I used the Lets Resin holographic glitters on the detailed parts of the mold and then I used Lets Resin casting resin and mixed a pigment powder called iridescent iris and filled the mold.
For the clean up of the glitter I used painters tape. #resinart #resin

I like the silver. This would've looked cool with clear in the bottom so you could see the other horses through the side, especially if you put a light inside to make it like a nightlight. Maybe you could make one and use a super tiny brush to color in the horses' details?

Thanks Hayley. The toughest part of this mold is getting it turned back inside right without destroying everything. Someone needs to invent a bent brush like at a 90 degree angle maybe to get down in those spaces after. Can you get on that🤣🤣

@@resinmeup I bet you could make one with a regular brush and a glue gun! Have you ever tried mixing a spray or 2 of alcohol into the powder to "paint" tiny details? It really works well although sometimes it takes 2 coats with certain colors but the alcohol quickly evaporates, leaving behind just color.

Thank you very much for showing how you clean up the mixer stick as I find it tricky at times not wanting to get resin everywhere. It turned out awesome and so pretty! Did you clean the excess glitter with a baby wipe? Beautiful work on both pieces ❤😊

Your welcome. I used painters tape to clean the excess glitter, it works like a dream. When you get this glitter wet, it just makes a bigger mess because its so fine. Tape does the best job. 😊

I love them both, but I think the gold is my favourite. I cut my finger on resin in my video last week, at least you didn’t bleed all over your project 😂 really stings though, doesn’t it? ❤

Its called a precision flush cutter, I get them at Harbor Freight. I have been using these cutters for years. I used to buy the cheapy ones till I found these. 😊
