Oh, hon.. I'm in the wild wild west. This is Oregon. They allow fireworks all year round, as long as it isn't past 10:00 PM or before 8:00 AM. I think there's some kind of law about continuous noises for two hours or more, but I swear the cops are right there drinking beer with the neighbors setting them off. Keep melatonin and tryptophan around for days like this. If those light sedatives aren't enough, valerian root and benadryl are also safe for dogs. Never more than 50 mg of benadryl without vet approval. Playing videos of fireworks on loud speakers when your dog is in a relaxed state of mind, and giving him/her rewards, even saying "Isn't it cool!" or other positive things, can train your dog to understand that they are not in danger when fireworks occur. I've had dogs trained for rolling thunder, fireworks, and even not to bark at the doorbell and such with these methods. It really helps reduce their stress levels in the long run.

Love it, but a LED base would be even cooler!!! And the little nub at the bottom would probably fit into the recess in most wooden LED bases made for crystal balls, etc. that I've seen. They come in warm and cool white as well as color changing too!

Very cool! What if you made a little cup for the tealight that hid the white plastic? A thin resin surround for it. Maybe the bottom part colored and the part that surrounds the bulb clear so the light shows. It would hide all that white plastic...

Try a balloon, or even a wax candle. Support them so that they don't sink. For the balloon, you can pop it once done and make whatever you want inside. For the candle, you heat it like a lost wax creation, and make your inside from there.
