I really enjoy your videos it makes me want to get out there and target carp. When I do go I usually try the fly rod but it’s difficult I have only caught a few that way on many outings. I like conventional gear fishing as well, you make it look easy but i know I have a lot to learn about carp fishing.

Very enjoyable watch. Another great session. Made me think all them carp u catching probably never felt a hook in thier intire life, do you ever get any mirrors or ghosties any nice linares. O ly ever see u bank commons. Don't get me wrong lovely fish decent carp. Just curios isit mainly commons. I need to try this pack bait in the UK I like a good solid bag with micro pellets. But this never see any ul angalers do this I'm definitely going to try this never know maybe give me a edge over the other angalers on my lake as the fish never seen tast or smelt it before. Thanks so much Spoony! We do have mirrors but they're not as common here as they are in Europe. I have yet to catch one but it's a goal of mine. I guess some waters hold more then others but there's not a lot of info regarding carp. They do run a carp tourney on some of the waters I fish every year and there are some guys who fish for carp but they definitely don't get pressured like they do in your waters. I'd definitely give the pack bait a try. Quick and easy to make and it mught just be something different that the fish have never seen.

just found your channel, diggin the videos man, really like your setup, ive been working on mine as well, we have alot of the same stuff, i live just south of you in northern maryland and we have some awesome carp fishing down here in the chesapeake bay watersheds, all the rivers have carp, i havent caught a mirror yet, they are here but rare, still looking, I have a couple of carp videos on my channel, mostly catfish, need to start making more carp ones, anyway really enjoyed the content, if you ever find yourself down this way holler at me maybe do a session together, tight lines brother

A little rain never hurt anyone but nice to have that gazebo to help keep the cameras dry and make for a comfortable day. Man #2 was a dandy just under 20#. A little peck on the forehead and off he goes. Just wouldn’t be right if you didn’t lose at least one… landing 6 beauties in less than 6 hours…..time well spent. We do have mirrors (and grass carp and Buffalo carp maybe too but out west) but we don't have many mirrors. I still haven't caught one. Hoping soon. When I fished Onondaga Lake a few weeks ago, there was a washed up dead mirror carp on the shoreline near where we were fishing. Not sure what killed it. Bow hunting for carp is a sport here (a damn shame) so not sure if that's what got him. But looked to be in the high 20s/low 30s range.

@BrianBanks8134 yeah Brian, a guy came over right when I landed my last fish for this session and I recognized him from a video that he did at this same spot from May. I was getting ready to leave so I offered up the spot to him cause he had wanted to fish there. Think his channel name was Fishing Grubs or something but I haven't see his video from this day.

@@AmericanCarpAngler most times when i load the method i put some on the back first then smaller amount on the front and flatten a little bit then put rig on then add more over the top which guarantee that your feeder will land heavy side down every cast, but your catching so must be doing something right. My only criticism would be the size of the pod as mine is low to the ground but i understand the nature of yours.. No more bending down 😂😂😂

@@steveparsons9110 haha yeah Steve, it's nice not having to bend over to pick up the rods. The Korda Bait Up Method Feeders I usually use have a weighted fin on one side, so as long as you put the hook opposite that, then your hook bait will not get covered by the method lead.

Thanks Michael and I didn't find exactly what's wrong with the other reel something inside the housing is not engaging correctly. It's like the main drag won't turn off at all or only on occasion, no matter how tight you turn it.
