Nice, good old Welly! Discovered it back in the early 90's and then we set up the current syndicate back in 2001. I named all the swims, and most of the carp at the time and it gave me goosebumps watching this, and you guys still use the same names! I could tell you loads about that place! The greatest times were had back then on the 'working mans' syndicate. Lovely, cheers Ed!

trust me on this... use black groudbait with red maggots and use a feeder with just red maggots in it and red maggot ball on hook ontop if the ground bait.

Really quality watch. We sometimes lose the art of story telling with music modern blogs! Ed has taken us through the highs and lows of welly and how a duff swim can become a hot spot! Fantastic video mate 👍👍 Darrell

Ive come to know Ed both as a lovely friend and colleague over the past few years. He’s a natural angler and has the knack with big fish if you want to see how he pieces the jigsaw together watch these films

Do you think tuffties an swans see the bait or smell it on a spot? Ive had it so many times when they have been in a different area of lake an cant see my spots when i put bait out but low an behold, they will go straight to it when they come in my water.
@EdBetteridge13 ай бұрын
I'm glad you enjoyed it. I certainly think Tuffies can, they seem to find the bait far too easily, even in cloudy water.

Love this type of video. The thought process behind the tactics is the most interesting bit. I'm also interested to know if you tried zigs at all? Thanks
@EdBetteridge14 ай бұрын
I'm glad you enjoyed it. No I didn't try Zigs, mainly because the lake is quite shallow at around 4 feet on average.
