I fished that peg 9-10 years ago in April, had several fish to 48lb, there was a sunken tree in the entrance to the chanel between the islands at a bit over 100yds so I couldn't get as far in to where the fish were, a French guy moved into peg 5 on the wednesday and had a 65lb common of the left hand corner of the small island shortly after setting up, on a spot that I had been baiting for 4 days, ho hum, an awesome fishery though

Nice to see even the best of us can make noddy mistakes, gets a blatant take whilst fishing tight to snags & spends 5 minutes staring at the rod before picking it up….😅
