Great watch guys from the uk.. I put weigh sling in the cradle so you just transfer carp from net to sling. Hope this helps
@AmericanCarpAngler Жыл бұрын
Thanks Steve! I do the same as you but Jay wanted to get a tare weight with a freshly wetted sling before each fish weight. So he'd bring it to the cradle, then weigh the sling and then put the fish in the sling for a more accurate weight and without having to do any subtraction. I need to invest in a weigh tripod and an analog weight scale for easier and more accurate weighing I think.

Yes Fitzy congrats on the new PB 29lb 3oz, i honestly thought it was going 30lb which i did tell you would not be far away in my last comment on your last vlog. Awesome fish. also congrats to Jay on his two Bangers. Like you both said 'who would not want to fish for those Beauties. 'Catch and Release' you are helping to show the way in the USA. Love the vlogs, until next time Tight Lines from Mark in England.

Thanks so much Mark and I think your last comment sent a bit of luck my way. They were running a carp tourney on the river that flows out from this lake this same week and a guy fishing the tourney on this same day caught a 47 pound common. At the same peg I had just fished the week before lol. So hoping g that 30+ may come sooner then later 🤞 But if not, no biggie. Enjoy catching them all.

Smashed it Fitz 👏 absolutely 💯 of a banger session. Congrats on that pb brother. Did jaz have any more after you left. You need to do a 24 hr man see if you get anything at night. Depends on my venue but Mt obs have been at silly hours like 2am 5am. Enjoying your content mate no matter how big the fish are... Jay need to lose the bass tournament t n replace it with a big fat carp onit, 😂.

Haha thanks Spoony. I talked to him the next day and he stayed until around 11pm with no other takes. He fished this spot a couple of times between the 2 sessions we fished together and got his vest fish at night. A few in the mid 30s. I'll get out for some 24 hr sessions next year buddy. I'll tell him about the shirt lol. Thanks again brother!

Great location to fish. It is foreign to me to see a beautiful spot like that and not see it stacked up with anglers. We don't have that luxury in California due to the number of poachers in our area. As a result of this, I have recently backed off from producing videos. Unfortunately, every time I identify a new area that is producing fish it immediately gets inundated by these folks. I love educating those who truly want to learn and seeing them enjoy the sport that I am so passionate about. However, the folks I am referring to DO NOT fish for sport, and they take everything they catch regardless of size. The concept of "catch & release" does not exist with these folks. The good news is they are not very successful because they fail to put in hard work it takes to be an effective angler. Keep up the good work!!!! Hope to see ya out on the water some day.

Catch and Release, is the way foreward.
@AmericanCarpAngler Жыл бұрын
Thanks buddy. Very unfortunate when you have those fisherman that rape the waters for anything and everything they can catch. We have a few that bowfish for carp and once in awhile you'll find a pile of dead carp that have just been left there to rot on the bank. A damn shame.

Just found your channel. Got a couple of questions: 1. What hook size are you using for the 20 pounders 2. What baitrunner reels are you using. Harder to find quality carp gear in the States Thanks
@AmericanCarpAngler4 ай бұрын
I'm using size 4 hooks and the reels are the Sougayilang Spinning Fishing Reel BE5000. Cheap but effective reels that I got from Amazon amzn.to/4cQXTaB
