Tom, I am recovering from a triple bypass surgery and your videos are the only thing keeping my fishing fever at bay! Thank you! I don't think I will be cleared to fish until late December. I live in Indiana and at 63 it will be too cold for my bones to get out. You do a great job!!! Keep it up!

James, I'm glad the videos are helping you get through it. Here's to a speedy recovery, and thanks for watching!

I’ve been enjoying your videos. You had me laughing with your calm reactions to getting splashed with water. Very interesting mirror carp. All the others were very nice especially the last one. Time is getting short. I’m headed to the middle Osage Basin tomorrow for a week of carp fishing. Also hoping for a buffalo and a few blue catfish. Good luck on your next trip!

The slap in the face and wet pants was well worth it with your second mirror of the year. Caught some real nice carp on this trip. Thanks for another good video Tom.

As much grief as I've given these fish over the years, I probably deserve a lot more slaps. Glad you enjoyed the video, thanks David.

@@OutsidewithTom You know Tom you always get me thinking ( which is hard to do sometimes) my favorite game fish is just out there looking for a meal and gets a piece of metal through the lip, gets drag through the water , taken out and poke and handle , get a picture of the beast all the time its just trying to get some air, then when I release it and get splash with a little water I say How dare you, you have humble me again.

Love😅the videos. I just got my weights and hair rigs in with my tiger nuts last week, i did my first carp trip Saturday , ended up catching three at 16 , 12 and a 20-pounder . His gear is reliable and his tips work. Thanks Tom for the experience.

That's the best-looking Mirror yet. The water is in the mid-50s in my shallow lake in SW WA. I might try the Columbia River sloughes to stretch the season.

Couple days ago I had the drag so loose I didn't even know I had a catfish on and the bell wasn't ringing either. Had to set it a little harder. First fish I caught on my Shimano with a bait runner though. The other night I saw only two carp the whole night while I was walleye fishing with plugs so I think they are mostly in the deeper water now.

Do you ever introduce bait with a spod/spomb or use pva? It's good to keep fish interested/feeding on a spot while you are landing fish & recasting etc..Made me 😂 when you were splashed, I've been full tail slapped a couple of times.

@@OutsidewithTom just watched it. I've watched quite a few of your vids but had only ever seen you use a feeder. It's madness here in the UK, spombs flying all over the place 😂. Spods died out about 10yrs ago here but some people don't realise they don't disperse as wide of an area as spombs, so good for smaller patches/areas of bait. In winter I usually put dead maggots in my mix, drown them in hot water overnight.
