Carp Fishing With Worm & Groundbait In Shallow Water - Part Two
From The Waters Edge film crew were out and about again this week as we visited Cobbleacre lakes in Norfolk. Fishing a short session after work I set Steve the challenge of picking a method that would offer the best chance of a result in a limited time, he chose to fish the deadly method of 'loose' groundbait and worm in shallow water. As you'll see by the video we encountered some nice fish and some explosive action!
We hope you enjoy this latest video, with any feedback, comments or likes much appreciated.
Help us spread the word!

Great video as per usual! I honestly don't think anyone is out there currently making better, certainly for match / general coarse angling styles. How you don't get many more views is beyond me. Thanks for making them chaps!

Some lovely fish caught there guys. Its great to get a tench in the bag too. I would like to see you fish that same swim on the quiver tip Steve, with a variety of baits. Lovely venue.

Hi Mike, yeah it was a cracking session, one of our filming highlights from last year! :-) Perhaps we will re-visit it, as it's only a few miles down the road and is always good for a fish or too! :-)

Hi mate, its a Daiwa Goretex Bib'n'brace, its pretty expensive, but I don't like fishing under brollies or shelters so I make sure my clothing is completely waterproof! Haha! This was purchased from angling direct.

Hi buddy, the pole sections don't pull loose as they are pushed together securely. Not only that the elastic takes the strain of the fish, no pressure is put on the joints, from a point of view where they may pull apart. Its a similar thing as to why your rod sections don't pull apart during when playing a fish.

Yeah it is Liam! Its Steve's lucky fishing hat, he won't get rid of it! He's caught every big fish he's ever had and every match his ever won wearing it! I'm trying to persuade him to get a new one though! ;-))

ok Steve, yet another shit hot video, the worm stunning is a revelation, I've always used a tiny piece of elastic band to hold the worm on!! also, how on earth do you manage to hold 16metres of pole with no support. I have a fairly modern Daiwa XR4, 14.5, with a butt section to take it over 15metres, but I need a forward support to hold it!! take care,Terry G,Nth.Wales.

No Sam, they belong to the person who owns the lake, so it would be theft. It's not something we do here in the UK anyway, we purely coarse fish for sport.

Hi Mohamed, because we don't really eat carp, also the fish in this lake belong to the owner, it's all catch and release. Hope that helps :-)
