Apparently the saying 'never look a gift hoarse in the mouth' comes from the practice of gauging a hoarses age from it's teeth. So basically if you are given a hoarse as a gift don't be so rude as to assess it's age by looking at it's teeth and just gratefully receive it. Think I prefer your take though 🤣. Another great challenge, throughly enjoyed it

Awesome episode! About that horse.... It's like if you were given a horse, don't look it in it's mouth (this was done too estimate the age and shape of the horse). If you are given a gift, take it, say thank you and don't examine or judge it. Just be thankful of the gift. When the gift giver has gone, though, THEN you can look the horse in the mouth
