Fortunate enough to own a set of the ST12's and had the pleasure of using them for a while now . I have quite the armoury when it comes to rods as my fishing often takes me from small ponds to huge pits . I have a dedicated set of rods for the job in hand from 12ft Hi's 3.5's up to 13ft Hi's 220's. I can honestly say I now only really need one set to cover 90% of my fishing the SCR ST12's as for the other 10% I have my eyes set on the ST13's ! I could never see me going away from the FreeSpirit Hi's Range but strapped to my quiver pretty permanently now will be the ST12's and this review outlines why ! The real bonus is stepping away from the outstanding versatile performance they look Awesome !

@G's Fishing Adventures - Graham Mabey im looking for some 12ft rod as normally use 10s and I do find most 12 quite clunky so would be very nice to have a good pair of balanced 12s! Love how sleek they look 😍

@@leepullon1147 they are great 12fters mate. Really good for modern carp fishing with bags, bigger leads, weedy waters etc. i actually used to fish with 10ft hi S rod for about 5 years. But now you couldn't get these ST12 out my hands

The ST range is styled with the EVA handles as they provide the perfect look and feel for this range. We are considering supplying our blanks for custom builders in the future so you can choose your own handles, but this is a long way off. The demand is very high for EVA currently.

Considering the big brands are retailing comparable rods anywhere between £400 and £600 per rod, these are very reasonably priced considering the quality of carbon and components you are getting. The TX2’s can’t be compared to these but are great rods for the price.

Shimano TX2’s are great rods for the money. Each to their own and different horses for different courses.

TX2's are great low end rod but you clearly have never used an ST12 !
