Sal fantastic, we get same problems. You just get on with it and sort it👊 Only thing we never say a finishing time as if or when it goes over the worker's drop and start rushing. Rushing means mistakes (sometimes) Love the big jobs more 💰 😅 💸 Great advice and top top quality work guys👍

brother carpet is made like a sandwich with backing at top and bottom and the pile is punched through in the middle then it is sliced through the middle hence top and bottom, there will be a shade difference, brother I was about to praise you for your work until i saw you walking on the carpet with your shoes on

Pile is reversed on same batch due to the way it is manufactured. Its 2 backings with the pile sewn through both. Like a pile sandwich. Then a blade goes through the middle of them. So you get a mirror image if you know what i mean

That’s what I was told. But that don’t help on the finished result as one side looks lighter and the other looks darker. Why can’t they all be the same direction

@Trim&TuckCarpets yeah it's very annoying. We had a massive job to to in a huge hall a few years ago. We had (4) 20x4m rolls of panel wilton to fit and 2 were mirror image

Mirror image is correct ( male and female)when ordering ask for all male or female as well as colour match to avoid problems.

Oh, I hope that the pile doesn't relax, then reverse itself a few months down the road. 🫣 You guys are awesome. I've always stayed away from large or commercial jobs. Too much pressure.
