Carpet Replacement! (300zx Z31)

@@1987whitez did u have to take off the pannels behind the seat belt to get it in?

The reason for the nut on the inner rear corner frame mounting instead of another bolt like the other 3 is for installation. When being assembled at the factory it's much easier and quicker to bolt down the seat once you have one corner aligned. The first one takes no effort and then allows the worker to simply adjust the seat until the other 3 corners line up. No time is wasted trying to get that first bolt hole located and started.

Just in case anyone was wondering that little box that he pulled out from the passenger side was the anti theft system.

You have already done the interior about the seat you can just take the cover off and wash them in cold water and they would look great.

That looks great you should take it to a professional detailer to clean the interior or get a shapooer for the seats

Yeah I was thinking about getting them re-upholstered because they're just falling apart at this point 😂

TBH i think it jjust needs to be broken in. It just seems to be too stiff. once it takes form and softens up I think it should be fine

Yeah I don't use it a bunch so that's probably a good idea to help it smooth out. I also got some cheap floor mats for it that work nicely to smooth it out

Are you keeping the interior the same colour? My full interior was blue. I washed the carpet, dried it then dyed it black. Looks great, just a suggestion incase you can't live with the fit of the new one 👍

Yeah I'm keeping it the same color but I didn't think of washing the old one. I'm not sure if it would have gotten everything out of the old carpet but that would have been an interesting thing to try first!

The amount of change that was under my driver's seat was ungodly. Almost $10 worth
