Danny, I love your content brother! The carpets cleaned up nice but It looked like you were spending an inordinate amount of time and energy cleaning them. I promise you can achieve the same results or better with way less energy. I used to do the SAME EXACT process you implemented here, because it works so well. Try this instead, purchase 'flex bio break citrus solv' as your upholstery cleaner. Why carry 2 separate carpet cleaners if you don't need to? Next, flex ice goes into the extractor. Now, if the floor mats are destroyed, you can pressure wash them first, apply bio break, let dwell for a few minutes, drill brush and extract. If you want to implement steam in there, do it after the drill brush, but ditch the rag/bonnet on the steamer attachment. I like to towel dry the mats before putting them under blowers, but save it for the very last step. I waited several years to purchase flex products because it seemed expensive. They are WAAY cheaper than using PnS stuff because they are super concentrated powders that are highly dilute able. Keep up the hustle! I love when your videos pop up, especially interviewing people on the street ♥️

Finisher neutralizes the chemicals so they stop attracting dirt, and it balances out the ph. Carpet bomber and terminator are very alkaline so finisher is acidic and it brings the carpet pH back to a neutral state. If you leave your carpets with a high ph you can get browning or wicking because the alkaline cleaner is causing a reaction that causes the browning.

Thank you Jairo, I agree, and I have done that before. However, San Francisco’s not the warmest city. And the customer needed their car back same day. There is no way it was going to dry same day. I literally started the detail at 3 PM.

Awesome work Danny! The P&S system is top notch and this shows! So you do step 1 and 2 drill after each. Steam clean, extract and step 3? Excellent pro tip on the handle lock! I have hard water so I buy distilled, I add some rinseless wash into the steamer it keeps the steamer clean and lubricated and gives a little more cleaning power

Great video Danny again keep up. Can i give you some ideas please, maybe they will work... maybe they don't 1. Try to find some like foldable table, or like the warnen lader if it fits in your car ,so you can place you matts to clean then and Don't have to bend over on your knees....or some similar solution, it will save your back, and it can also help you on polishing e.t.c 2. From... customer perspective, try not to wash the mats on the dirty floor, you can buy very cheap welcome industrial mats or some thick plastic blocks ( sorry i dont know how you call them in usa) to place over the mats you want to clean not on the dirty floor/driveway e.t.c Keep up bro have a nice weekend

Telling a customer their floor mats are trashed isn't always going to be received well, even when it's true. My approach would be to recommend something like WeatherTech mats that can be used all season and are far superior to OEM carpet mats. They make future cleaning much easier which is better for everyone, and may be less offensive to the customer, depending on how you word it.

When the floor mats are heavily soiled, old, and clearly not in the best condition I tell the customer right before I start that I will do all I can to make them look better but I cannot guarantee a great improvement in the carpet.

Hey Danny, how do you think that P&S terminator/carpet bomber matches up with just using super clean. I've had some good success with super clean on carpet, fabric and leatherete and it's so cheap, but I'm always looking to improve.
@dannys.auto.detailing_
@dannys.auto.detailing_ Жыл бұрын
To be honest, I think super clean is great I used to use it when I first started. And I had no problems. The thing is as it was very caustic and got into my lungs and it hurt. But I think what it’s missing is the P&S step three peroxide finisher. When you spit it on the carpet or seats after you’re done. It’s supposed to stop the chemicals from working and freeze the stains where they are so they don’t come back.
@brianhenry7983

@@dannys.auto.detailing_ thats funny because super clean is one of the few cleaners i don't find that harsh and doesn't give me a headache, I actually kinda enjoy the smell as long as I don't inhale a bunch of it. But to each his own.

What’s the add on charge for seat removal? The juice may not be worth the squeeze:) With the floor mats as long as you don’t make any promises they’ll appreciate the effort and honesty that they’re beyond repair. More about how you say things than what you say. DBAA(Breaking Bad).

I personally would not pull seats out, especially new cars. Firstly the danger of air bags not working. 2nd, might need to be qualified, because you could void the warranty. Lastly, too much work that is not necessary to obtain a good outcome and a quality job. Every job is different and might have been necessary for this job. As to the floor mats and how not to offend customers, is to manage the customers expectations. Based on experience you would know how clean it will come out. If the customer is wanting it looking new and that is not possible, I would tell them that it would be cheaper to get new floor mats than to have them cleaned, because they would not be satisfied with the cleaning outcome. You'll find if you do a price comparison, New Mats and Price to have them cleaned, they will make the right choice.

Or you could just say I did my best. They are beyond repair I understand OEM floor mats can get pricy but I do recommend getting new ones. If they are really that beat. I thought mine were beat they were pretty much black and the interior is gray. I would love to show you how mine came out. Just put the effort in you're already charging for a full detail and leaving the carpets untouched is just so unprofessional.
