That seems easier than trying to use a phone and a bluetooth speaker in a car with a really old or broken radio. It also feels like the perfect thing for a rental car road trip.

There might be an AUX installed in the car, and if it is, it's in the glove box on the right wall.

I think I see where that would be! This is an aftermarket head unit, so there's nothing connected for AUX at the moment.

You could use screen mirroring with Airplay or Miracast. There are no video player apps in CarPlay or Android Auto.
