I've been so disappointed by the Darwin slander after the Man United game Seeing Darwin as Liverpool's major problem makes no sense imo it's like analysing a symptom rather than the root cause of a problem. Of course he could have scored a couple of the chances he's had this season but I'm personally more worried about the lack of creativity from the midfielders (and Diaz) rather than Nunez. The narrative around him is nonsensical. He has 22 goals and 12 assists so far for Liverpool (in 3500 minutes) and been involved heavily in countless other goals the most recent example the last 2 goals vs Fulham. And a lot of games have been played on the left, especially last season. That’s almost a goal or assist per game considering games last about 100 minutes these days. He had a better g/a per 90 than any Arsenal player last season… 99% of teams would kill for a striker with that output, especially at his age. It’s only a matter of time before he’s converting the chances he misses and his numbers will be insane.
