Everything with the tickets works in Europe same way as in the U.S, but the tickets are really cheap plus your license only can be taken away for driving drunk or texting and talking on a phone. Santa Clara area, Stanford area has crazy rules and they enforce. I got a ticket in Palo Alto for using residential roads. You can't use them during traffic hours unless you live there. Then in Oakland, I once ran a red light in front of a cop by accident. I pulled MYSELF over and waited for the cop. He didn't even get out his car, just told me to be careful and be safe. These cops don't have anything to do! So annoying! Oakland PD is hiring and needs help, come where the real action is at stop bleeding people for their money over something THEY do all the time.
