Great review, i'm going to have to grab a bottle next time. Did you ever try it with the IK foamer? Also, you think the Lift will breakdown a wax or spray on sealant?

@ James chan, thanks for watching 🙏 I did try it in a IK foam and it worked awesome! At the recommended standard dilution 10:1 it will not cause any damage to waxes or sealants. On a stronger diluted ratio it may put a scar on them. It really all depends on what wax or sealant is on the surface, how long it’s been on the surface etc.

The Reset vs Lift comparison on the Subaru was fair, but the Lift comparison on the Toyota (ceramic coated) vs Subaru (not ceramic coated) is like comparing apples with oranges…unfair.

As much as I'm sure it won't strip coatings, wouldn't it still make coatings wear down faster due to the higher pH. Also wouldn't repeated use just be drying out things like rubber seals?

I had the same questions myself when working with high pH chemicals, so let me break down my thought process here and hopefully this answers your questions. When you re using a product like Lift by the time you have diluted it to the 10:1 ratio you will probably be reading a pH level of maybe 9 or 10. At that level you are able to attack more bonded contamination than a pH neutral soap while not really damaging any rubber, plastic or painted surfaces. The is higher chances that the elements (sun, snow, salt , iron fallout )wear down your surfaces including your coating before this soap will. Also this product is not to be used every time you wash your vehicle, i like to use this after a heavy winter , a strip wash if I will apply any wax or sealant or if my vehicles have been neglected and need a good wash. @@DetailProjects I understand what your saying. Plus I guess if it's only used when needed theres no noticeable harm done. I hope people don't use it for every maintenance wash then.

Thanks for the test. I have a truck too and I take it off road. I currently have Can Coat on it and use Reset for washes. I was thinking about getting either Optimum Power Clean or Carpro Lift for a prewash after off-road use. Do you have a preference between those two for this purpose? Thank you

Both products have been very effective and you can’t go wrong with either of I’m being honest, however I would give power clean the slightest edge because of the price point. Lift is at bit pricey in my opinion.

Hi there, thanks for making this video. I’m interested in trying carpro lift but my car is not ceramic coated. Would you happen to know if it would still be effective?

Yes, it’s still effective for non coated vehicles and works great. Generally speaking though, any cleaning product is typically more effective on a coated vehicle due to its self cleaning properties.

Lift can't do all that heavy lifting by it self. The cars seems to need a round for CarPro TRIX (before lift, on dry car) to get a better result before a round of contact wash with reset.

Have you tested Reset on IK Foam Sprayer? What is the best dilution ratio?

I did test it and I did not get good results with the ik foam.

I watched a video that the guy took car pro lift on half the car and the other half just rinsed it with the pressure washer and there was really no difference

You used too much foam, it’s supposed to be diluted well and you did too much lift, so it had a lot of volume which forced it to fall instead of staying on the car, just try to mix a fair amount with water and it should foam better but too much Is not good.
