Carpuride W502 Motorcycle GPS Navigation Honest Review

Fair review. I just received my W502 but haven't installed it yet. I noticed something while testing it on usb, I would appreciate it if you could test it. I use Carplay a lot in combination with Waze and GMaps and it seems to me that this system has problems with the zoom option on the map. The view is too high and doesn't zoom as navigations normally allows. Whether it's because of the resolution of the screen itself, I have no idea, but I will test this soon on several devices. I'll tell you what's scary: I went out of my house and got on a train the other day before I realised I didn't have my phone on me. I panicked. I have bought a TomTom but otherwise I'd consider something like this. Thanks for the honest review

@@EpicAdamMotovlogs I wanted it as I plan to do the SW660 and Elan Valley and NC500 this year. I was hoping to get riser app on it but your limited to what it supports, Google maps. I have it linked to my comm and it's really good. Slightly different though as you can remove the screen and leave the mount in place.

Interesting. I've seen this unit and wondered about it. I didn't go for it because I saw a lot of complaints that it would fail in the rain. Any chance you can try getting it good and wet?

It has to be connected to your phone via Bluetooth

Yes! You can. I have the paid version of Calimoto on my phone. It mirrors perfectly on the Carpuride W702. I don’t know if this also works with the free version of the Calimoto-app. I know that other apps (like Flitsmeister in NL (which gives you a warning for those spontanously set up speeding check-points) will not show up on a carplay device unless you have a paid account. They DO however work fine on the phone itself, but it won’t mirror on carplay devices.

Couldn't get any audio out of any bluetooth headphones I tried. How do you connect it to the helmet? It says audio is on CarpBT.Trans I can see that signal on my phone but can't seem to get anything to pair with it properly

I think you have to connect the headphones to your phone & your phone to carpuride
