I lit up an old REA (Railway Express Agency) coach and made my own pickups out of some copper I salvaged from an old computer. I used LED strip lighting which can be cut apart at every 3rd LED. I also used a mini full wave bridge rectifier (the little square ones), a 3300uF capacitor and some wire. The LED strips have adhesive on the back which sticks to the interior roof and are made with the ballast (current limiting) resistor built into the strip. The full wave bridge will keep the coach lit in either direction and the 3300uF cap will provide flicker free lighting. After installing the LED strips I realized they were too bright (bright white) so I painted each LED with some yellow acrylic paint. Works great! Cheers from eastern Tennessee

can this be used in conjunction with a fliker free unit ?

richies quest Yes, but if using a capacitor for the flicker free you'll need a bridge rectifier, they sell this on their website as well.

Hi and thanks for your comments. We sell a flicker free unit that includes a bridge rectifier, look on the website. Bob
