I just feel like Carrie is a brilliant example of someone who has always wanted this, has always wanted to rock musical theatre, and while she never went to theatre school she just worked and worked and practiced and just got so good. She lives musical theatre and is just perfection. It is so satisfying to watch her achieve all the things, she is totally deserving of all these amazing roles, but her shock and excitement at her achievement is as pure and lovely as her voice.

I’m glad I’m not the only one who looks like a new mother looking at their child when I hear Carrie’s voice. It is just absolutely captivating.

I've been watching Carrie for probably close to 10 years, it's crazy how someone on the internet can feel like almost a big sister to me. My heart is so full for her, she is an amazing person and beyond talented. I get emotional thinking about how much she has accomplished! She will be an icon in the musical theater world.

She’s incredible! Her “I” is impressive. It’s a hard word/sound to hold, and she does it several times without ever cheating with an “ah” or an “I-ee.” She has complete control over her sound. Wow!

I love this because it feels like a Lloyd Webber classic I've heard a thousand times and at the same time, it is completely different from anything I've heard before. It's nostalgia and novelty all at once. So gorgeous.

I've always thought Andrew Lloyd Webber must feel like each time he writes a song it's like allowing your child to go out into the world. He's spent so much time working on the music but he has to let the rest of the world hear it, but it's still his baby. Having Carrie Hope Fletcher singing his music just makes them even better.

@@MarcDanielPatrick It was amazing and so funny and modern. The choreography for Bad Cindrella was amazing. I love a musical that can make me laugh a lot and has a few rude jokes 😂. I've already asked for tickets to see the show again for my 30th birthday from my husband and I've never seen a musical twice before (other than Blood Brothers 10 years apart).

I was lucky enough to see the first preview on Friday night and it was an experience I will never forget. I got very emotional. Carrie is incredible, and to be able to see her perform live (a dream of mine for a while now) and not only that but originating a role in a new ALW musical as well, was just an absolute pinch-me moment. Victoria Hamilton-Barritt and Gloria Onitiri were also phenomenal (as were the whole cast, really), and I expect Ivano Turco to be a big name in the West End in a couple of years if his debut is anything to go by! I really hope you get to see it, because it was just such a joy to watch. I'm already trying to work out if I can make another trip happen later in the year to see it again once it's premiered!

I went to see the second preview yesterday, and WOW was it an amazing show!!!! It really takes you to places you don't expect and the performances were juts so incredibly heartfelt and wonderful. Alw was there to open the show, which was so incredible and you really got a geek for how hard it has been for them with limited capacity and the changing government guidelines. But it all paid off and this show got a huge standing ovation and deserves full capacity theatres!!!!

Thanks for the video. Carrie’s SO good! She’s such a powerhouse, but can pull it back and have her voice float like a feather. I’m so excited for her this week. Also, ALW really has perfected the art of hitting people with an emotional bat. He knows how to tap into it so easily that it’s scary. 35 yrs later and I STILL get emotional in Phantom at the end during the instrumental just before Christine gives the ring back. Hits me every single time.

I feel that her fairytale comes true. Her voice would be also good for a disney movie. But hey... there is no point for me obsessing 🙈🙈

You should react to the other two songs from the show (I know I have a Heart) and (Marry For Love). Andrew got the London Gay choir to perform it. Video here on KZbin I believe. I have tickets to see the show on the 15th. Keeping my fingers crossed it will still goes ahead.

It's the first time I see a video from you and perhaps it could have been the last : hopefully you enjoy the voice of Carrie Hope Fletcher but I do appreciate the risks you are taking : a bit sensitive (more than a bit), a great modesty, and words who express so precisely why I was only thinking "oh I love that song". So thank you for your help: I love that song and I know much more why. And it is a greater pleasure.

There are just two things on my bucket list right now: to see Ball & Boe (together or solo) and Carrie Hope Fletcher perform live. They're such amazing talents and it isn't fair that they don't perform more in the US. KZbin is fine, but nowhere near as good as live.

@David-pt8ge

If it is successful, I hope Broadway decides to be a bit more positive than casting a nearly 30 year old white middle class person, whose biggest claim to fame is that her brother is famous. It would also be better if they cast someone who does not have a long history of treating her young fans with dismissive disdain and self entitlement that is far too much for a person who had at the time, a rather slender cv.
@christopherjohncampbell2594

She deserves her fame . She needs to learn that signing autographs at the stage door and smiling at the public as they gush , is just part of the job ... when she came to the Edinburgh Festival Theatre in the Addams Family musical , she was the only major cast member who tried to escape as soon as the perf was over back to her hotel , usually via a door where she knew nobody would see her leave and under a hoodie to disguise herself . Poor show , Carrie . You need to mature and accept these people paid good money to come and see you .

Actors don't owe appearances at stage door to anyone. You are not entitled to see the cast after the show.

I don't think musical theatre actors are under-appropriated. You see literally hundreds of people scream and applaud after a huge number like this. I think wgat you may be referring to is your peers in college. For a lack of a better word, some people can be total A-holes. And the other students on your general education classesay ridicule you. But once you get on that stage and perform before thousands of people, you probably will ever hear a negative comment about actors as the audience is usually there to support you. There are some cases, however. In which audience members have left abruptly. When I saw Love Never Dies in Seattle, a HUGE portion of audience members just left in the middle of songs.
