Veterans of country music are shocked at how well Carrie does that. As Vince Gill said you don't realize how hard it is to sing there. Acoustic in there is bad. Carrie ability to make it sound perfect.

You can tell how good Carrie is. Because Carrie can perform either way. Opry can't handle all the stuff Carrie uses for her tour. _Plus Carrie has too much respect for Opry anyway. That is why Carrie just stands there and tones down her vocals. As Vince Gill explains the Opry simply can't handle Carrie's full power. The acoustics there aren't made for powerful vocalist like Carrie.
