As a fashion influencer I get your reason of saying "it's no one's fault" in regards to not liking the strawberry shortcake sweatshirt, but the company DID let you down. By using cheap plastic polyester fabric instead of quality breathable natural cotton they chose profit over quality. Again no shade to you, but large corporations continue to uphold their profits and the loser consumer is left with terrible quality goods. Love that you are supporting the deinfluencing trend, these types of videos make people think before they buy, and that's a good thing!
@madisonmackay9672 ай бұрын
I really need some de-influencing in real time lmaoooo but I love these videos because I get so frustrated with everyone acting like we all need to buy everything we see. Thank you for being a refreshing light ❤

Here's the thing... just stop suppporting influencers that overly sell things. You are CHOOSING to be a naive consumer... I hardly buy things that influencers constantly "promote" because I just don't care what they promote. It is SO easy to not contribute to overconsumerism or give in to the bs that influencers are promoting. Buy things YOU want, not what influencers are telling you that you need.
@emily58022 ай бұрын
like it's so simple. these videos blow my mind every day how many "regret" purchases people have. if you know your style and dont rely on influencers to tell you how to dress, you wont have nearly as many regretful purchases as in this video !
@simplyboppingK2 ай бұрын
@ EXACTLY. Half these people just need to find themselves and not rely on the trends for how they chose to carry themselves. At my big grown age (27) I dress how I want. Would I like to follow some trends? Sure. Mainly the fall aesthetic.

I think the low rise jeans when it gets colder will work for you. When tops are bulkier/longer, the rise doesn’t matter as much as the comfort. Love the black shoes! I think they would be a fun “accessory” as long as they are comfortable. I agree with what someone else wrote, that changing the laces on the red sneakers might give you what you are looking for. The makeup part is so subjective for each person because we all have different skin and hair and what one person raves about, will not work at all for another. Loved this video.

Those bloomers are hilarious, I can't believe they've made a comeback. My great grandmother was a Victorian in Charles Dickens' lifetime, and she made similar bloomers out of silk that I still have. I'm not sure I'd be wearing them as a vibe though...

I think everyone has forgotten what low rise actually is. Jeans that go up to your belly button is deff closer to a mid rise and is still way higher than actual low rise. I do agree though if they are going to be bringing low rise jeans back they need to bring longer shirt styles back. Crop tops are only comfy for me if I’m in a high rise pant.

The Tower 28 spray is just hypochlorous acid. There are loads of hypochlorous acid sprays at a fraction of the price, and it’s exactly the same. It’s weird that Tower 28 markets theirs as for the face, because IMO hypochlorous acid is better used to help cut heals, calming mosquitoes bites, healing piercings etc. Using it post workout when you can’t immediately wash your face as you said is a great use too!
@jackieinbloom2 ай бұрын
I saw an ig reel that recommended using the sos spray on your armpits to remove odor. I’ve been doing that after my nightly showers and it’s been working! I’ll try using it on bug bites too!
@atllauren2 ай бұрын
@@jackieinbloom I will have to try that. I’ve used glycolic acid in my armpits bc it is also supposed to kill odor causing bacteria.

yeah it's antimicrobial. i have pretty dry skin so my derm actually told me to wash my face with my acne wash at night and then in the morning just rinse with water and a spritz of hypochlorous acid followed by the rest of my morning skincare routine. it's helped maintain my moisture barrier while making sure i'm not leaving bacteria on my face from overnight

The Tower 28 spray’s main ingredient is mainly an anti-bacterial/inflammatory agent, so if your acne is more so hormonal or triggered from something specific other than bacteria/same with your rosacea it may do nothing aside from resetting your skin’s PH! But it truly is a miracle worker for me lol. I don’t purchase Tower 28’s anymore, there’s plenty of brands that do more affordable hypochlorous acid sprays that are virtually the same, but I’m forever thankful they introduced me to the ingredient! Btw definitely would recommend looking into some of the allegations about JVN (the person), I was always a huge fan but a lot of crazy accusations were made about them from people who worked with them in Queer Eye

Hypochlorous acid (which is in the Tower 28 spray) is great for calming inflammation in the skin, but you need to apply it to clean skin for the best results. And it needs to dry down before you apply something on top of it.

Humans are creatures of habit so it’s natural to want to stick with what you know and love and feel comfortable with (I still wear skinny or pretty slim jeans!) but I’m also glad that I’ve been trying other wider leg or straight leg options now. They do look good and I assumed they wouldn’t. Don’t give up on the low rise :)

TOWER 28!! I use the serum version of the spray because at the time the spray was sold out, so I got the serum instead and per the description it is a more concentrated version of the spray! My skin flares up bad in the winter when the heat is on something about the dry air gets my skin inflamed. So I keep it in my purse and I do notice a difference when I use the serum. So I suggest trying the serum over the spray I feel it penetrates the skin deeper and feels very soothing.

I have rosacea & have a couple of Rx creams for it but it still flared really bad in summer. I now use the Paula's Choice 20% niacinimide treatment & the azelaic booster & those 2 will knock back any redness overnight. I literally looked burned on the left side of my face. Those 2 products helped so much more than the Rx stuff. I've also read that roscea can be caused by a sensitivity to the mites that live on our skin. Salicylic acid reduces the amount of mites & therefore inflammation. Paula's Choice also has a super gentle 2% Salicylic acid toner. I use it as well. Your skin looks great, I would never guess you had rosacea. I am also highly sensitive to fragrance. Wonder if there is a connection to rosacea & autoimmune dysfunction in general. Not fun.

I try not to buy things online until I have seen them in person, especially shoes and clothing. There are several pairs of shoes that I have thought looked good, but when I saw them in person, I thought, yeah, these are not for me--examples, platform docs, platform crocs, margiela tabis. I also tried on a pair of Sambas in a store and found them incredibly uncomfortable. I'm also such a cheapskate re beauty products. When I find something that works for me, I have zero desire to try another brand. I was tempted to buy that Jones Road tinted foundation/rouge stuff, but when I read reviews of it, I realized I could probably get the same effect with a cheaper product. And I still haven't bought the cheaper version either.

They shrunk so badly in the wash that now they’re even SHORTER 😢 I have a white blousey shirt I can style with it to make it a dress (I have been wearing fleece tights that aren’t sheer or just straight up leggings underneath and add a belt to make it look like one piece). With the leggings I can hike the shorts up high so they kinda just look like a long flowy tunic 😂 or I can add a corset thick belt and pull the shorts down past where they would normally sit and they’re longer on and look more like a dress. Have you tried styling the bloomers with short skirts or dresses? Kinda using them as their original intention, and having the lacey edges peek out. Throw some tights on underneath to help with the short inseam? I like to wear wool skirts in the winter and a base layer makes them more comfortable and keeps them clean so they don't have to be washed, so the bloomers seem super practical to me.
