Obviously you do you but just in case no one has mentioned to you before, don't hang knit sweaters! The weight of the sweater pulls on the hanger and it gets weird hanger marks in the shoulders. Learn from my mistakes and preserve your favorite knits by storing them on shelves or in dressers instead.

Carrie, I’m glad you referenced your body fluctuating and not necessarily keeping clothes with the hopes of fitting into them later, but to have on hand when those body “seasons” happen. I struggle with this too. Should I keep them or should I donate since, right now, I’m currently not that size. I just hate having to rebuy and curate new things when my body is so back and forth.

I can totally relate when she said this. I am going to pull out what does not fit me and put it aside, out of sight. If I need them I will pull out what I need and store something that no longer works. I will not have the attitude of "someday I will fit into it". Been there done that too many times. But I agree with you, tired of repurchasing things so I will try this approach. Good Luck.

At the start of the year I turn all hangers backwards as I wear items I turn the hangers forward so it let's me know at the end of season/year what I am actually wearing and what I'm not. Makes it easier to just get rid of things. Also forces me to think about wearing the same item a million times when I have other options

I was just looking at my closet last night thinking I needed to go through mine again. My mom used to do this thing where after she wore something she would hang it in the opposite direction. THat way she knew exactly what she was always going for and what to get rid of. Plus she had a rule that for every piece she brought into her closet that she had to get rid of the same number of pieces. She said that way her closet wouldn't get over loaded and that she wasn't just buying the same pieces over and over, like ending up with 3 black cardigans.

If the sleeves in a knitted sweater is to short you could try blocking it (you do it with pieces you knit, might work here to!). Get the sweater soaked and then lay it on a flat surface. Pull the arms to make them longer, and let it dry flat in that position. Hope it helps! LOVE your declutter videos btw ❤

Taylor Shirt - take it to your tailor and ask if they can add a strip of fabric on each side seam up to the arms - makes it bigger and with the right farbric it shouldnt be too noticeable!

For the camo shirt I would use some oxi clean and water and a brush of some sort (old toothbrush etc) and rub the mixture into the underarms then let the whole shirt soak in water and oxiclean overnight. Maybe that will help?
