I love the 'Carry On's' it's a shame that there aren't the comic actors out there now to be able to successfully make another. The humour fo today's comics just doesn't lend itself to bawdy stuff like this!

By miles the best of the later Carry-ons. Because it was competing with the mid-70s sex comedies, it was a bit sleazy in places, but the whole cast were brilliant. Elke Sommer was a fantastic guest star. "He vill be getting zem out, and I shall be examining them, and shticking labels on them."

You didn't include one of the funniest scenes - in my humble estimation - in which Elke Sommer informs Bernard Bresslaw that she is keeping a dirty caravan with birds in it "...so I am going round the campsite looking for scrubbers!"

I love Elke Sommer's accent in this film. Hilarious! I've learned (or half-learned) some British expressions here. What's so funny about scrubbers? (Sorry, in Canada I've never heard this one.)

mottledbrain Scrubbers is another word for a loose or cheap woman, tart or can be used for a pleb as well.

Carry On was going through its death throes by now with different writers and missing cast members. William's lecture is funny and one or two other bits get a laugh but it's all rapidly fading away.
