Wonderful memories of the irreplaceable cast members, thank you for that!....I still have video tapes of virtually all of them and my wife and 25 year-old daughter is an avid fan, appreciating the bawdy, fun-filled humour. Incidentally, Jack Douglas was the only cast member that provided the important link between "Carry on Columbus" and the last earlier film in the series, "Carry on Emmanuel". Also, thanks to the useful information given by Sid James in his delightful interview with Michael Parkinson, I can deduce that the date of the chat must've been on 8th March, 1971. He alluded to the fight that was to take place later in the early hours (live from New York) of "Cassius" (Clay) = Muhammed Ali v Joe Frazier. This is the only fight in Ali's ring career that would've fitted in the timeframe of in between filmings of "Carry on Henry" and "Carry on at your Convenience" (and the UK release of "Love Story", of which this is a probable premier evening). Phoar! Those Carry On girls were fab! 😍

When Sid James passed away I was 10, it was the first time anything like that registered with me, it's stayed with me ever since. Loved the film's then, watched them with my parents and still love them now, my kids watch em too 😀 Carry on Screaming, terrific but my fave moments are either Anita Harris in a nurses uniform 😍 or Peter Butterworth thinking he was going to break wind in Carry on again Doctor 😂

Their movies were so funny, it is so sad in 2020 when the world has gone politically correct that 90% of what they did in their movies today would be unacceptable, makes me want to watch my DVDs again of ytterbium movies I have of them

Ì loved the carry on films they are very funny. My favourite carry on movie is carry on camping. It's a masterpiece. Sid James was an actor way before carry on constable that was his maiden appearance in the carry on film series. He died way before his time but his legacy is a great actor. Whether it's a crime film or comedy Sid James had plenty of acting roles but he was so right to stay with the carry on series. He became pals with the lovely and much missed actress Barbara windsor between 1968 and 1974. It,s a movie about the ñotorius highwayman Dickturpin. Who was robbing people to cold heartedly.
