Flicks And The City I saw some easter eggs in cars 3 when lightning mcqueen changes the channel we see two cars kissing from cars 2 once there on the bridge also when it's raining after the demolition derby there's a sign that says sleep well a company that was shown in toy story of terror and also Thomasville was named after herb thomas the driver for the fabulous hudson hornet but do you know what I thought that doc hudson lived but I was depressed that he wasn't

Flicks And The City i wish they would of included docs death scene. i know it sounds sad, but i just wanted to see how he left and i wanted more emotional scenes in this movie w doc and lightning, and how he said goodbye. i hope there is a cars 4, though i doubt there will be. i don't want lightnings story to be over because cars is my childhood and it would be so depressing if there's nothing else.

Well it actually makes sense. McQueen learned from smokey that doc was saddened by never racing again but he found greater happiness in mentoring McQueen. Of course he knew that there would be no more opportunities for Cruz to be a racer and wanted to give it to her. Cruz shines as a racer and McQueen shines as a mentor

I wish that while McQueen was racing, he thought of something inspiring that doc told him, and it gives him the motivation to win the race. I just feel like taking lighting McQueen out of the spotlight ruined the whole movie for me.

The thing is he never lacked motivation in Cars 3, that was issue he solved in Cars 1. The issue in Cars 3 were purely technical, not psychological. If he won the final race by just "believing in himself more" it would defeat the purpose of the entire plot. It's like you'd be able to run Fallout 4 on PC from 1999, only because you believed in it enough, that's just dumb. The only place this logic works in is Warhammer 40k where Ork race has this ability to make things work if they believe that's how they work, things like painting tanks red would make them go faster, which it does, only because enough of them believe in it. But that's a whole other universe based on psychic powers that have nothing to do with Cars ofc...

Lightning McQueen can never keep up with Jackson. He's old. He may surpass some of the Next Gens but Jackson is the Next Gen who is unmatched. Cruz Ramirez, on the other hand, can keep up with Jackson. She has the right amount of Speed, Strategy and Skill to beat him by drafting and flipping over him. She even did an amazing job passing all the Next Gen Rookies. She can keep up with them. Jackson is an unstoppable, unbeatable and blazing fast Next Gen Racer and Lightning is an old and slow veteran. So there's 100% chance of Jackson beating McQueen but, he was smart enough to let Cruz Ramirez do it for him. She can keep up with Jackson. After all, he did start the race.

@@DaquanHarrison Cruz wears a IMENSELY HEAVY plot armor. She isn't a racing car, she's a V6 with ±500hp. McQueen is a V8 800 hp and Jackson a V8 900+ hp. It doesn't make any sense she winning that race

That's because you're seeing him as a machine, not a person. It would be like taking an aging athlete, who was still healthy, just not as youthful, and giving him a heart and lung transplant just to keep up with the next generation of athletes. If you look at Planes 2, which shares the same universe as Cars, the star needed a new part in order to survive, not to compete. In fact, it was this failing health that forced him into retiring from racing in the first place.

Mcqueen don't even need to win all the way have the ending scenario like this 1st is Cruz, 2nd place is Mcqueen and third is jackson storm. In Mc queen's thoughts "I'm already am ready to let go of the racing world I just need to block storm for this Cruz." Like how the King was doing it in part one purposely blocking the Chick so Mc. Queen can win the piston cup. That's the better way of passing the baton to Cruz it's having her beat Mc.queen and Storm going in behind mc queen so we got what we all want. Mcqueen winning against storm and passing the baton from Mc queen to Cruz.

In reality this movie made Lightning a side Character He shouldve gotten more and more upgrades as time progressed plus in the first movie the King was still dominating after so long why wasnt lightning able to still fully compete against storm when he wasnt as old and equally as great in a shorter amount of time it's odd that It was made to seem that lighting was washed and weak when we've seen older cars like Doc still having the ability to keep up with the new guys. all in all I feel like there needs to be a movie actually appreciating the greatness and overall ability of McQueen like the first one instead of making him a bit of a side Charachter like the last two the franchise needs a movie where McQueen actually comes out on top to have good closure.

Lightning McQueen can never keep up with Jackson. He's old. He may surpass some of the Next Gens but Jackson is the Next Gen who is unmatched. Two thoughts: 1. The alternate ending where McQueen gives up the 95 to Cruz and winds up racing for Dinoco as "The Fabulous Lightning McQueen" using number 51 could have worked really well, IMO. Having Cruz, McQueen, and Storm racing for the win hearkens back to the first movie when McQueen raced against Weathers and Hicks for the cup. There was a key moment in Cars 3 where Smokey illustrates the importance of drafting to McQueen, with Cruz listening intently. I think they could have used that at the end of the film - having McQueen drafting Cruz and Storm until he builds enough speed to pass for the win, or vice versa (Cruz drafts McQueen to get the win). Having McQueen on Dinoco also solves the whole "if you don't win you retire" argument from Sterling - if he's not part of the team, then Sterling has no say over him. 2. I'm hoping they will do a Cars 4 soon. One way I can see this happening is to have the characters race at something like the 24 Hours of LeMans. McQueen goes in as the crew chief to Cruz, who teams up with a new driver to enter the race. New driver could be a potential villain, or could drop out of the race for various reasons (mechanical failure, ego trip, etc.) Cruz tries to shoulder the load and run the whole race on her own, but this opens the door for McQueen to come back and show the world he's not done racing just yet - having him finish the race and win it for himself and Cruz in spectacular fashion. I could see something happening where McQueen pushes himself too far at the end and breaks down or crashes after getting the win, leading to a scene where he is rebuilt in some way. New, faster McQueen? Old, stylish McQueen with a nod to Doc? Take your pick.

I think the easiest way to make the 95 transition work at the end of the movie would be to subtlety hint at the rule throughout the film. Maybe in the first act, they could've had it so that the racing teams are desperately trying to keep up with the competition, and are replacing their old racers with the rookies at random times, even between races. This could make the new generation seem like a much bigger threat, as well as flip the script when McQueen uses the rule to include Ramirez

Loved the alternative idea of McQueen merging with docs colors an then facing storm. Like they’re both racing him. The problem we got is that back in cars 2 the whole story was completely hollow, not McQueen racing storm. Cars 2 was meant to stack up with the hype train from cars 1 and selling more merchandise. I believe with the part of sterling and selling stuff and make mcqueen a big seller, was kinda a Message to us that the makers realized and also apologize for their mistake. Cars 2 had to be like rocky 3 or 4. a Champion from Europe or Asia had to challenge McQueen and his team with the still living doc Hudson. World Grand Prix wasn’t a bad idea at all, but then without the secret agent stuff. Although Francesco was a F1 car with over 300km/h speed, which doesn’t makes sense racing against a nascar car he would have still been a good enemy. Cars 3 could stay like that. But the final 15 minutes were absolutely wrong. McQueen should have won against Cruz in thomasville and also finish the race against storm. Cars 3 shows us the total opposite of cars one and makes both movies looking very bad. 3 destroys the whole message 1 wants to send. I was VERY disappointed when I watched the final movie. And I know the ones who grew up with it just like me, feeling someways. I was 6 years old when I first time watched it. The filmmakers did too much wrong. The least they could do is reset and continue from the first movie and make a real cars 2 and 3 we deserved

I also feel it gave more weight to the revelation that Doc coaching Lightning was the best part of his life IMO. As it showed Lightning truly maturing and accepting that while he may not be racing forever, he can still find enjoyment in coaching Cruse and other cars when he's retired.

Mcqueen is so confident to win the race that he trains every single day until his next race, he sees all of his friends quitting because of the lack of hope but he somehow decides to quit racing and give his career to Cruz. He should have definietly won that race by himself.

I loved the ending. Actually I loved the whole movie, I found myself Smiling through the whole thing. It brought back some tender moments of my first experience of the First Cars Movie.

I prefer the one where lighning mcqueen does the whole race and wins himself and beat jackson storm finaly i wish that happened instead of sending cruz i know it's kind and all but i just prefer lighning mcqueen doing it like his old self

even if he tried we saw he just coudnt beat storm so surely he would loose which would create a bad image of him that will take years before he can recover and make a proper comeback as crewchief same thing that happened to doc hudson

Cruz Ramirez, on the other hand, can keep up with Jackson. She has the right amount of Speed, Strategy and Skill to beat him by drafting and flipping over him. She even did an amazing job passing all the Next Gen Rookies. She can keep up with them.

You'll can never keep up with Jackson. You're old. Accept it. You may surpass some of the Next Gens but Jackson is the Next Gen who is unmatched. I really would have loved to see Cruz start the race and McQueen to finish. Basically Cruz just establishes a lead and Lightning works with the advantage he's given. It would have given McQueen that last moment of glory to flip off the wall like Doc, and it would have felt a lot more satisfying to have Lightning's story arc come to an end.

I think the movie was AWESOME!! I wish it could of included the scene when Doc died and the Hollywood part. That would of been GREAT!! The famous superhero car that almost appears in Cars 3 is the Batmobile from Batman.😊👍

The famous car is the batmobile, both old and new! I wish the Doc Hudson scene had been included. He was my favorite, as I am a big Paul Newman fan as well and the fact he was a car aficionado himself

The first cars movie was the first ever animated movie I ever watched, so it's great to know how the story ends. I would like to see a cars 4, but I think the ending of this movie is perfect as it is. Maybe a few 20 min shorts, and maybe a special 30 minute short where Cruiz wins a piston cup. I just think it would be nice.

Sally just wasnt used enough in the sequels of Cars. She's such a big supporting character but is hardly shown with Lightning especially in Cars 3. Although i almost cried when (SPOILER) Lightning said to Sally "Love you!" as he left for his training :DDDDDDDDD BEST MOMENT OMGGGGG but yeah, i would LOVE to see a Sally backstory and more relationship building with her and Lightning.

I have been a McQueen fan since i can remember myself and i would love to see another cars movie released. Probably one that is taking place after cars 1 showing different characters backstories like sally mater etc. Something to complete the image of a beautiful franchise
