Clayton Cortina Actually I have a 2015 mustang and leather seats in the rear are pretty good!! If you're tall, don't even think about it. I found that as long as you're under 6 feet (or are 6 feet) then you can fit comfortably. Leg room is a compromise, but what can you expect? If you wanted a party bus you should have bought a van, not a muscle car. Of course the hardest part is getting in and out, but you can move the seats all the way up and it isn't that difficult: you just gotta go straight into the back head first and THEN turn around to sit down.

back seats in my Mustang are VERY useful because they are there. Our other car is a family car so we use that when we go as a family, the Mustang is for me going to work primarily. However, in a pinch when I have to go pick up a kid or two I can do it. If it were a Corvette this would not be a possibility. The back seats make a Mustang ownable to me.

Im going to expand on this. Im 6ft 4. First off, short people will tell you to get trucks or SUV's because they have no fucking idea what its like to actually be tall. So heres some real world for tall peeps: 1. Not every car will fit everyone the same size. It drastically matters if you have a long torso, or longer legs. 6ft 4 can have one longer then the other, this will make a huge difference. Longer legs = needs lower sitting seats. Longer Torso = less head room, might need to avoid sun roofs. 2. Lower seats = more leg room. 3. SUV's and Trucks have raised seats that dont sit low or bucket. I hate them, and will never own a truck or SUV again for this reason. Distance to the pedals is horribly close and uncomfortable for us long leg type. 4. Ive found for me (long legs) coupes work well. Mainly because the B pillar is pulled further back. 5. Heres some cars I fit great in: VW Golf GTI, Hyundai Genesis Coupe (The higher trim level lets you lower the seat), Mustang, Camaro, Nissan Maxima, Mazda 3 and 6.

im 6'4 and i loved the room in my 2011 toyota avalon. I also reccomend the 370z and hyundai genesis coupe if you want some more sportier versions, i traded my avalon in for the Z and i fit fine. it takes a minute or two to get that car seat adjusted right but once you do its great

I'm 6'5" slim, with long legs like this guy. I have a 36" inseam. I used to have a 2013 mustang and also tooled around in a 2018 and found they had a lot of leg and head room inside. I had to put the seat down all the way, but they fit me better then any other GT/sports car. Also the visibility was excellent from most angles. It's a very good car for tall people.

I have to admit, at 6'9" and 260lbs; I've definitely imagined owning, let alone driving a sports car. Sadly for me, that concept is Considerably Situational. I've sat in the drivers seat of later model Mustang, Corvette, Camaro, Porsche, and even Ferraris. Also more current models as well. None gave me the ability to enjoy sitting in them without smashing my knees, or having b to tilt my head. Now... A classic, super charged ,1971 Chevelle; midnight blue with big tiers on the back... was Explicitly different. Big body, low Position seats, gave me not only the ability to drive comfortably... But a passenger could sit behind me while in it !! If the car advertises to fit more then 4 grown adults, find a friend 6'5" or taller. Put it to the test!

You're doing it wrong. First off, you have to state how the tester is tall. Is he a tall torso or a atall legs guy. I'm a 6'4" tall leg guy and I CANNOT safely drive the new gen Honda Fit. For me the Honda fit has horrid legroom. It's simply dangerous for me to drive. The only reason that I drove it was because there wasn't another Zipcar available at the garage. BTW..the Mini Cooper has GREAT front legroom. That car is simply a joy to drive, even if you have long legs. If you cant spring for an (overpriced) Mini, just get a VW Golf or Jetta. both carshave tons of legroom and the Golf handles really rather well. Not as good as the Mini, but in the Golf people wont laugh at the "tall man driving the Mini" either.

I'm 6'7" with mostly legs. Drive an '00 Civic Hatch and '05 Civic Coupe. No sunroofs in either. TONS of room!! The new Civics are larger on the outside, yet smaller on the inside. I do my best to send Honda messages, stating that they need to model their interiors like they did in the past. Most new cars are bullshit. They have tiny doors and crammed interiors, yet we are getting taller, makes no sense.

Just took the newest Civic out for a spin yesterday (using Zipcar). All that I have to say is....Honda is BACK!! The fit was great, legroom especially. The handling was so great that it made me drive like an asshole. The CVT is still annoying, but the lever is set back enough that the manual tranny should be a comfortable reach, even with the seat all the way back. Everything that was horrid about the 2012-2015 Civic has been fixed. Test drive the new Civic, you will not be disappointed.

Very superficial test. I’m a 6’5” myself and know a thing or two about the ergonomic problems for tall people. I noticed that “pretty good” was given to cars where the hips did not have any support and such cars are not good for any journey that is longer than one hour. So a perfect car should have a seat extender and a separate regulation for the front part to provide that hip support necessary for longer journeys. Another problem for tall drivers is the steering wheel: either your knees touch the wheel or you can’t adjust it close enough and have to fully stretch your arms to reach it. The tall guy in the video didn’t show the legs movement when you switch your foot from acceleration to break pedal and that movement is important to understand if your knee will touch the bottom of the steering wheel. I have tested hundreds of cars and so far the best car for me is BMW 3 series GT with sport seats. By the way pano roof suits me fine there as well.

I'm 6'7" tall (38" inseam) and I have a 2018 Camaro SS 1LE. I have enough headroom to wear a helmet (no sunroof). Knee room was tight, but I designed a 2" extension for the steering wheel, and now I can track the car with confidence. I love it! I also have a 1973 Datsun 240Z and no one believes it when they see me get out. But it's actually very comfortable. I've frequently spent all day in it on road trips.

my dad is 6'4 and has really broad shoulders, we looked at buying a 2018 Mazda 2 and with the seat lowered all the way and all the way back he could barely get in (it actually took like 2 min for him to get in). We then realised that he could not sit straight and had to sit at an angle to fit between the passenger seat and the b pillar. Safe to say we didn't by that car.

I will recommend the Volkswagen Polo, my dad used to have a 1997 model. It was really small from the outside but very comfortable inside, somebody whos 7ft tall could easily sit in front and a child on the back seat without any problem.

There are a few elements missing from this video that are critical for talls: 1. B pillar placement. When I have seat all the way back (I'm 6'-7"), is my elbow behind the B-pillar? Often it is, and that is very uncomfortable on longer drives when you wish to put your left arm up. Also at drive through windows when you need to reach out your window. Whack! that is the sound of my elbow painlully hitting the B-pillar 2. center dash curvature above left knee. So many cars forget that drivers have left legs, with knees. Corvette is classic example. I can fit my leg under the steering wheel, but I can't bend my leg enough to get a foot on the gas peddle because the damn dashboard is in the way. 3. Sun visor placement. If my head is above the top of windscreen/sun visor, then I can't see straight ahead without craning my neck. Several of the vehicles had this problem, but because Cody wasn't driving, it was not notices. Trust me, 30 seconds on the road will show this flaw! Otherwise, enjoyable topic.
