Bro, 12:34 sent shivers down my spine cos it shows how the cars kill the drivers within and all they can do is scream as they helplessly watch the car drive to a wall I also believe that the cop car helped because it wasn't taken over yet, the voice being the driver showing he is helping, but once the car was burnt, the screaming was the driver. Which is likely why the cop car became hostile

Yes but the cars run into the same problem that they ran into in the film Maximum Overdrive. As much as cars may hate people they will still need people to pump gasoline into them. Unless the cars are just on a suicide mission to kill as many as they can until they expire, I don't see what their "next step" is.

@@DustinBarlow8P With the inception of electric cars, that's becoming less of a concern for the cars in question. I've also heard that at one point, there was an idea to have certain parts of tarmac redesigned to be used as static charging pads for such cars. If those were to become a reality, then electric cars would have a very long lifespan in this case. At least until matters scaled to an apocalyptic level and power generators couldn't be operated to provide electricity. At the same time though, the use of solar power could also negate or at least reduce that issue as well. In short, solar power and charging pads for electric cars would solve this problem for the cars.

Yeah The cars become sentient and took control away from the driver. Smacking into the wall to Game Over The Driver in the quickest most brutal way possible. before resuming trying to game over others.... Later on when a cop car is on fire chasing you through the woods you can see a burned up person in the driver seat slumped over.... or it was just the seat. I don't know when I played I could have sworn I seen a person but.... who knows.

The 1983 film "Christine" and the 1986 film "Maximum Overdrive" are some of my favorite movies, despite their obvious flaws, just because the two are about evil vehicles. But now speaking about this game specifically, imagine if it was in VR.

I haven’t finished watching the video yet, but from what I’ve seen, the story is that you play as Frank’s sister and José’s wife. One day, your sister in law contracted a disease that ended up killing her and it passed to her daughter, your niece, Andrea and Frank had to leave her with you and José because he couldn’t take care of her on his own. One day, you decided to kill Andrea in what I assume was a mercy killing and Frank hates you for it and wants to kill you which was why you were kidnapped in the beginning. The actual game, I don’t know what’s happening, this is just what I think is the backstory of the game. The reason I believe it was a mercy killing is because you mentioned some times the painkillers didn’t cut, suggesting that whatever this disease is causes intense pain and you didn’t want to see her continuing to suffer like that.

SPOILER ALERT: If i understood story correctly, you play as a nurse/family member of andrea, who did "mercy kill" towards andrea. And whole sentient car chase is some kind trip after frank presumably does drive by shooting to player character, our char survives, but is unconcious from shots and bleeding. And this is the dream they see. Honestly, i could be and most likely i am way off, but its not like story is well told. Feels like after thought tbh, considering how good pathfinding AI is, obiviously gameplay was main priority.

i actyally think that maybe frank had kidnapped our player, the nurse, and forced her to stay in the basement and she mercy killed andrea thinking that maybe she can get out of it if andrea died. atleast from the note that happens once or twice, it says that our character HAS to take care of andrea or jose and her family will pay (i think the character you play as is a girl from the breathing and her husband is probably jose or something)

This is a refreshing horror game. The fear isn't reliant on some cheap jumpscare tactics, stupid children's themed characters gone creepypasta, some spooky demon-like monster chasing you aimlessly around, or a dimly lit environment haunted by some wimpy ghost, but just the pure absurdity of a metric ton of steel barreling towards you with no other reason than the intent to kill.

This is the lore to the Cars franchise. Obviously in the movies the sentient cars live on Earth, and there are no humans due to the events depicted in this video. This also makes sense in the franchise because many buildings in the movies have doors that are made for humans, like in London in Cars 2.

This game makes me think of the episode "Attack of the Autobots" from Generation 1's "Transformers" cartoon. Megatron infiltrated the base of the Autobots and infected their recharging chamber pods with a personality destabilizer that turned those in the pods evil, albeit temporarily. It was a good episode in an overall awesome series, and it leaves me to wonder if that episode somewhat inspired this idea. Either way, I like it!

I used to legit have nightmares about this type of stuff as a kid, it's weirdly nostalgic and in a way I'm seeing those dreams again. The headlights almost like a lighthouse, search round and round for me. The roar of the engine as it speeds to my location. I would hide under others cars that weren't sentient as they slowly rolled by me trying to find me and their engine almost idle, knowing I'm close. (Funny how I can remember these so vividly, but not something like Saint-Venants principle.)

Even though the plot is fine, other good possibility would be if the main character did a hit and run on purpose, as a revenge for something. And this entire game is his hell, forever to feel the fear of being potentially run over, getting run over and coming back, in the meantime constantly coming from phine to phone in futile hope of getting out. Maybe it is too often made nowadays, but this variant of plot could fit well too.
