Swift is a pure gem ! I am having a Gen II Swift 2016 1.3 DDiS. It has survived one major crash but it still runs smoothly with over 2,50,000+ kms on the ODO. It still goes 120-140 very easily and those Gen 1 and Gen 2 swifts really had a good build quality. I’ve done some classy mods to it and it still looks charming to the eyes whenever I see it. No engine can beat the reliability of that 1.3 MJD in this segment.I’ve been getting the car serviced at 10,000 kms with all the oem parts and required maintenance such as EGR clean, intercooler clean after 70-80k kms and it’s good to go. Never ever had a problem with this car, also the most loving part of this car is its fuel economy and my swift gives me 17-18 kmpl in city driving and 22-23 kmpl on highways easily and I’ve myself done a trip from Chandigarh to Agra & back with some local city drive in Delhi which was around 1100+ kms trip, and i could do that in a single fuel tank of 40ltrs with an AFE of approx 22.5 kmpl at a speed of 85-90 km/h. IT IS SUPER PUNCHY, SUPER RELIABLE.

We have 2011 swift ldi diesel .. just used by my dad .. till now Only 53k km .. done'.. its easily touch 180 .. even its goes and touch 200 top speed ... Its base model... All service done in suzuki only ... Its just not comfortable for tall person..like me ... I am almost 6 feet ... Awesome engine...

Swift is not just a Car. It's an emotion for many 90's kid. Launched in 2005 who would have thought after so much criticism for looks, cramped space, small boot etc. Yes it was a huge success for maruti. 1st and 2nd gen were awesome. 3rd gen was so so . Hope 4th will be as good as previous versions

Yaar mere father k paas thi gen 1 swift with that esteem engine That was a bloody beast man I used to clock 130 in 3rd gear every time my friends would bring their dad's figo and i20, i10 and I promise I smoked every one of them each time. Saddest part is my dad exchanged it for a dzire new gen in 2018 when I was in college,without telling me about it. We still have fights about it whenever it comes up.

I had a first gen swyft brought in May 2010, Silver, my first car (family had a 800). it was a wonderful car. i sold it in Feb 2021 after driving it for 11 years and 86000 Kms - no problem car. Very low maintenance. Now i have an Ertiga - it is also very good - but i still miss the punch swyft created when i pressed that pedal. Mileage was 10-11 KMPL.

Proud owner of swift 2011 petrol model 2nd gen, no issue till now, no clutch,gear box etc issue only done timely regular service, no break down ever.run 110000 kms..still the mileage is between 19 to 22 kmpl.what else do u need ?

We still own the of 2007 vxi red colour g13bb beast its a charm to get behind the wheels in that go cart type suspension setup and tall geared ratios with the massive initial punch all the way up to 6800 rpm ❤ its almost 17 years old but still drives like new ❤

Remember an old incident ..Old swift 2008 diesel .. belgaum. Hubli expressway.....early morning at 155 km/ hr slight curve ..rear tyres gave up...but I was able to get back and correct the balance and slow down ...other cars would have spun and crashed ...thats old swift for you..always connected to the road ..

I have swift zxi 2016 and i20 sportz 2011, I feel that in terms of comfort and premiumness, no hatchback can beat i20 and as an overall product swift is an excellent product except hard suspension, front seat shoulder room and boot space, rest of the things are good in swift.
