It all started with the Mahindra-Renault Logan, a mid-sized sedan that was launched in 2007. But the Logan with its dated looks and high pricing failed to strike a chord with Indian consumers. Logan’s failure was so bad that it caused both brands to part ways and end the joint venture in 2010.
Then finally in 2012, it dawned upon Renault that to make it big in India you’ll have to first think like India. As they say and they say it right, ”India is not for beginners”.
Then Renault took a popular European SUV, made over 40 very India-specific changes and in July 2012 launched the Duster in India priced at just 7.2 Lakh.

The cars 24 is totally fraud, and not genuine, this is all money game with the customers, I have had a bad experience with cars 24 as they told the RC will transfer, but they told the buyer they did not find, they are totally liers and playing the game with customers, if the RC name is nt transferred then the cars 24 people will ride our vehicle on our name, and they do nt transfer , ultimately the customers are the sufferers, before taking the car the cars 24 people they tell, the very next day they will send the RC papers to sign , do nt ever approach the cars24 if you want the head ache, then police stations and legal cases the cars 24 gives head ache and suffers the customers.

This was a true capable suv with awd option, no other suv can beat it's magic carpet ride quality and handling even today. That 1.5 k9k dci engine is a gem. Not a rocket but reliable enough. Proud owner since 2015.

renault did terribly wrong with duster by not giving it a generation update with some upgrades according to market. creta took the whole market,by timely updating facelift & generation upgrade.

Got a K4M 1.6 Duster from Cars24 last year, 2017 facelift model, loving every bit of it, not an AWD but puts a lot of SUVs to shame, my commutes are mostly broken roads, dry river beds being in construction and engineering industry, it tackles these with ease, only thing i have changed are tires, 235/60 R16 AT tires and it nails it, i wiuld be scared to take a creta there.
