Again, THANK YOU for everyone's support over the last few days. WE ARE RETURNING TO REGULAR UPLOAD SCHEDULE. We still have a bonus video coming out on Facebook this afternoon. Also, I'm going to try to post a C10 update this Friday (mounting front fenders, etc), and we're posting THREE go kart/mini bike videos next week- Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.

What about the windsheild acting as a air brake as why its slower ?
@articedge15 жыл бұрын
I bet those lost 3mph are from the windshield more than the exhaust
@refugeinc.1595 жыл бұрын
I don't think it goes fast enough for aerodynamics to factor in. Probably just a combination of the restrictive exhaust and the weight of the windshield/framing.

Congrats on everything! That kart is still really loud. Even though there is a 20 mph speed limit, I think a small gearing change to lower rpm would gain you back some top speed and also quiet down the noise. Come to think of it, I kinda remember you welding your chain/gearing in place after it broke. Well, nothing that can’t be fixed. Love this build. Would really like to see it at the beach. Maybe with a limited slip diff it could do some nice drifts.

Have y'all ever thought about testing what a Flowmaster or other "muscle-y" muffler and seeing if something like that would sound decent or sacrifice too much power? I've always wondered.
@G56AG5 жыл бұрын
I'm surprised they gave it the OK without a speedometer. If you intend to keep that windshield you need to polish it, you can polish it just like you would polish the paint, a very fine polishing compound, worked either by hand or a orbital polisher, finish up with a good wax, yes...you wax plastic windshields, keeps the clear and makes them easier to clean, as well as raindrops bead up and blow off. I've been riding behind plastic motorcycle windshields for 46 yrs so I have quite a bit of experience caring for them. Once cleaned and waxed only use soft terrycloth towels to clean, you have to be careful because they scratch very easily.

My Grandpa built a custom 4x4 wheelchair for my uncle a while back and wanted it loud but not super loud so he took the manifolds straight into a smaller pipe about 2 inches and drilled holes all in it, centered the 2 inch pipe in a 3 inch pipe and stuffed the gap with steel wool. The custom muffler made the 22 hp Briggs sound almost like a motorcycle at low idle, might be a cool idea for the golf cart. You can check the Wheelchair out on our channel tractionnut.

So I've searched around a little... But I still have questions.. It seems if you have a tractor atv or golf cart and put the red (slow moving vehicle) triangle on it, it can be on the road legally... 1.If you have the red triangle on the back of a mini bike can it legally be driven on the road? 2. What if you bought a motorcycle (rolling chassis) and put an engine in it and it didn't do over 25mph can you still use the red triangle or does it need to be registered because it has a vin #?

How exactly do they check for engine size? Like what is to stop you from getting a predator 420 and calling it a predator 301 (they are close enough in size and layout that they would be almost unmistakable unless you had prior knowledge or saw the two side by side) Obviously you aren't going to get away with calling it a 49cc or anything, but I would wager you could at least play it down a size, maybe even pull off calling the 420cc a 212 if you have the components stripped from the block to make it look smaller (relocate air box, gas tank etc.) Just gotta get a predator 212 or 301 sticker to slap on there
