Yet that hillbilly still wiped out knowing what we all already know. Gonna say that was totally fabricated like every wreck they ever have. This channel hasn't been real since the their 2nd video. Sad they sold out immediately. But the technical ability isn't there, evidenced by so many past videos that duplicated what has been done MUCH BETTER years before. The 670cc dragster was laughable in its performance - but it linked directly to a sponsor. The rest of the planet would have sourced a Ninja 650 with 77HP in stock form and wiped the floor with that Harbor freight junk.

I had fun watching this video. I was 70 this last November, and have been looking at these two bikes online. I like them both. I've had about 30 motorcycles over many years, including two Sportsters. I loved seeing you guys assembled by and riding, good friends and good times. I had a great friend from grade school, through high school and well after. We lived and breathed motorcycles and did a little racing in high school, and toured around Washington and Oregon. Lots of off road riding too. He passed away in 2011. But, I have all the memories of our adventures over many years. I wish these bikes had kick starters as a backup. I love that the Ghost has a center stand, as they are great when doing maintenance. The seat on the red one doesn't look real passenger friendly. We moved to the big island of Hawaii in 2011, and either of these these should make good island bikes. I started riding off road at 10, and if one rides off road, then there WILL be wipeouts. Often. I've been lucky to never have a street accident. You guys seem like it would be fun to ride with you. Have fun and ride safe!

I'm only 15 minutes in but as a Chinese motorcycle sales guy since 2005 I need to cover some things. The manual may be cool because it has a wiring diagram for some bike made somewhere, sometime by somebody ... But it also says ”turn your winker on when swerving." Don't take anything as fact. If it says .9 qts of oil, check it twice. It says to tighten ALL bolts and that is true. EVEN THE SPOKES! (Deflate tire first). If reliability is required, check that all the electrical wires are fully seated in the plastic connectors. I'll add more later. Charles, Charles, Charles ... John, please get some "Crashing Sucks" stickers and put them on the tank of EVERYTHING. It's a good reminder.

Hey John, what's your opinion on the Kawasaki Vulcan vs the Harley Sportster? I'm currently looking at buying a 2003 Vulcan 800 - It is a budget bike but looks almost like a Harley Fatboy - I was also considering a Harley Sportster but they are pretty pricey down here in Australia - about $8k for an early 2000s 883 & 1200's are $10k minimum no matter the age it mileage - The Vulcan is $3k with only 33,000 Klms on it looks almost new, as far as Metric HD Clone goes It looks & sounds pretty authentic for a Metric Cruiser - it kind of even reminds me of an old Indian Chief - Old age has finally caught up with me, I've been riding Sports bikes for about 2 decades & now would like something more sedate & comfortable - Any advice appreciated - Cheers Paul 🇦🇺👍

I've been a Chinese moped/scooter rider for a while (daily ride) and have little issues but occasionally a catastrophic breakdown due to heat usually. You get what you pay for, a lot of chineseium bikes are fairly weak on parts, but often its parts that can be braced to make stronger or parts that can be swapped out for better parts. A lot of chinese bikes often under go full transformations and look nothing like stock after a year or two. I had a keeway superlight 125 as my first bike, good bike, but the chinese bits were rubbish. Ended up getting a full upgrade on every chinese part that was going to break and turned it into a fairly decent off road cruiser. Chain was replaced with DID heavy duty, Sprockets were JT custom heavy, forks were swapped for 125cc forks off a dirt bike, rear suspension got swapped out because it started to rust to off road rear suspension on both shocks, tyres were ultra hard off road tyres so never had to worry about punctures and engine had all electrics, plugs, spark caps and Cables replaced with NGK race 125 stuff and the head was replaced with a suzuki head as the engine was a suzuki clone. Power went from 10hp to about 14hp, not much but more than enough for that bike... Took it up a mountain, off road on dirt trails and even went through a river on it lol.

@@EUKBIKER Yes, I know you can swap out parts, but the point is ALL Chinese metallurgy is flawed. What do you think the engine is made out of? And the majority of the bike? This isn't me making stuff but from experience. I know a fair bit about China and the great leap forwards that spurred how Mao pushed people to start making metals and it never got taken up properly. And I also used to have to fix my eldest daughter's boyfriend (at the time) Chinese motorbikes he kept buying. It's endemic. You should perhaps look up cha bu duo.

#1 - I'm glad Charles is OK. I've had a few spills over the years and it hurt just watching that. My first thought was that it was dumb using the bike in a situation it wasn't designed for, but 100% guarantee I would have rode the bike around the track myself, so I guess I'm just dumb too. After all the videos I've watched and had time to think about them, my favorite was when you to the CT-70s on a road trip. Time for another road trip please....

No one at a biker bar is going to see those 250cc Chinese bikes as a Harley.

Was glad to see they had some replacement parts, but with how many CDIs I've seen die, it's a bit disappointing to not see them on there. Nor clutches, coils, voltage regulator. (Sportster 250)

I want to see the guys build an actual road bike from scratch. The mini bikes are great, but let’s see a C&C version of a Sportster or a custom chopper!

i'm glad Charles is okay. we've all been there and we're all glad hes doing good. I have to agree with you on the agility and fun of these little 250 Chinese bikes, I have a 2012 rps hawk 250 and it is the easiest bike ive ridden because of the agility, and smoothness of it. it was a good beginner and awesome all around, just isnt quite powerful enough to go the speed limit (55-75mph) on most of the roads near me.

I agree. I have a 2021 hawk 250. It is a great beginner bike if your not afraid to put a wrench to it. I just wish it had a sixth gear.

The front tire is on backwards. The tread pattern is meant to push debris and water outwards when braking. The orientaion here on the red bike will build up debris in the centre under brakes and cause loss of traction. The rear tire is designed to push debris away under acceleration. Front is reversed for braking.

It does show on this one that y'all were sponsored by the company on this one. Those welds are functional, not particularly nice. They aren't that fast. They'll be nightmares to find parts for when something breaks. I'd take a used Honda over that all day

You layed the bike down because you went to pull the clutch and instead pulled the front brake and it went down quick.
@Brrrap74310 ай бұрын
That's the same engine on my hawk 250. You'll need to adjust the valves frequently. And also left you right at the first time you're going to realize you're going to want to go and tighten every bolt on that bike before you ride. And then probably every couple thousand miles after that I would check it again

A clone of a motorcycle but I do not see a clone of a Harley as I know them to be, reminds me of a time I had an old bike I had in the late 70's Yamaha Rd 60 2 stroke that I sort of made improvements on if one can call it that. tossed dirt bike bars on it, longer rear shocks, and knobby tires I was in the wind during high school. I used it as a trail bike and knew a bunch off roading trails I may get one of these, tossing it about maybe the red one. Looks like fun, at an age when the big Suzuki 1500 V Twin is getting a bit of a chore to move at low speeds.
