Anyone who has a real love for cars should appreciate many kinds of cars, even if you favour a particular brand or model. Out of these muscle/pony cars I favour the Camaro ZL1 1LE, but I still love the hellcats and can't wait to see Ford roll out that GT500. But some clowns like to bash the competition when they favour a certain car.

Good unbiased review. As a sports car guy, the Scat Pack and the Hellcat Charger changed my mind about a stupid fun in a sedan. After two 4000 mile trips in it, I'm sold. Also only trip to the dealer was oil changes. Bigger tires are needed!

The hellcat is a lot of car for sure....not the most nimble thing to drive but it has power for days. The exotics just have more of total package which is why most of them are so expensive. The hellcat skimps in some areas in order to make the car affordable. The hellcat is the ultimate gt car for the money.....if you don't mind the 4600 pound curb weight and going through tires like toilet paper the hellcat is good bang for the buck
@CarsCostsandTechnology
@CarsCostsandTechnology 7 жыл бұрын
KZbin Championship Haha you are correct about going through tires like tp 👍 That's exactly why I wanted to include the cost of a new set in this review. Overall it's an awesome car for it's size, but I do prefer the more nimble feeling of a Corvette. Especially since I have no need for the back seats.

Munozl360 if you're talking about the 911 that's only because of the rear engine layout in the back. The engine hanging over the axle doesn't help tire wear. The hell cat simply overwhelms the stock tires so I'm sure he'll at owners will visit tire rack more often

KZbin Championship you're only going to go thru tires crazily if you're constantly doing burnouts and things like that. I'm not a burnout guy I jus like driving fast on the highway lol tires would last me a pretty good time

Very nice review! My previous pleasure vehicle was a C6 Z06 which of course is every bit an American supercar. I wanted something more luxurious inside, more comfortable and yet still provide a good source of adrenaline. I went with the Challenger Hellcat and it is indeed remarkable. Besides the incredible power (virtually identical power to weight as the C6 Z06), the Hellcat has plush interior, a great ride and lots of tech goodies. I love that the Hellcat has a fully adjustable suspension and the automatic transmission can also be adjusted for street, sport or track modes. It is a great time to be alive!.

Ooh finally got me some Mopar :D All jokes aside, this was a well done review; definitely improving in the right direction since the first one. I really liked your analysis of the car in comparison to the rest of the market and how much it would cost, relatively, for a potential buyer. As for the car itself, me being an owner of the 392 version, I must say I am still tempted to go for the upgrade. That supercharger whine is VERY addictive, but if you're not careful, it can get you in trouble real quick. Not to say that the Scat Pack's 475 horses isn't enough, because it's more than plenty for daily driving, while also still having fun. It's just that the Hellcat, although largely built in the same body styling as the Scat Pack/SRT 392 models, has that "it" factor. When you see it on the road, the presence of it is just menacing, not to mention the sound coming out the back (Have you seen any exhaust clips of the Demon yet? That thing just sounds unnatural). Anyways, as much as I am a Dodge guy, I am still first & foremost, a car guy (preference for American of course :) ) In the future, I would love to upgrade to a Hellcat, but I've been really considering my next car to be a Corvette, which is how I actually found this channel to begin with. I will agree with you on that one note, my next purchase will definitely involve a supercharger. It's just one of those things I want to experience, and hopefully if it's still available, I'd get the manual. Love the 8 speed auto on my Chally, but I do somewhat regret not being able to shift gears myself traditionally. Oh and fun fact: that paint color on that Charger is the exact same shade of red as my Scat Pack Shaker (it's a premium tricoat paint called Redline Red that's a couple shades darker and has those little flakes that sparkle in the sun, versus the regular Torred, which I didn't like because it was more orangey than red)

dannySRT6.4 I got you covered man 👌 I still remember your comment asking for a Challenger/Charger on the channel. I enjoyed reviewing this car, and seeing what all of the hype was about. I completely agree with you about the presence... There's just something about it that's hard to explain. I'll probably be getting a Z06 or ZR1 in the future just so I can hear that beautiful noise of the supercharger!

Love your content brother , in my option the American car market has really stepped up their game compared to the foreign competitors. I was a loyal Nissan fan but I chose the 2017 SS over the GtR because of the horse power & price point but I soo dislike the charger mainly because it's a 4 door car. My insurance cost in Canada for a Charger Hellcat, for a full 12-months period, is about $700. That means $548 USD/year or about 45 USD per month. It's virtually nothing! It's as if the insurance company saw "4-door sedan" and stopped there.

Ali Piracha Thanks Ali 👍 Hopefully I'll be able to review a Challenger Hellcat in the future. I would still choose a Corvette over either of the Hellcat variants just because it suits me better at the moment. Hmmm... a lot of my Dodge buddies with the Scatpack 392 charger are doing supercharger/ pro charger add on to their cars. Hmm is it worth it for the hellcat especially when it looks just like a 30k cheaper 392 Charger!!! And today I test drove a dodge Daytona and totally was a waste of time lol. Another car fully of badges. I think the best bang is the scatpack 392 charger but if you want a really Sportscar than stick with a Corvette Zo6. Especially if you are a track guy but a drag guy, get hellcat and buy some radials tires.

they can mod a 392 and match a hellcat. A hellcat owner can mod his car and get 1000 Hp. The internals are different and they left room for even more power. If 707 is enough you also get a very good warranty. i chose the Hellcat

Why is there a difference in acceleration and top speed of a charger hellcat and a challenger hellcat eventhough they have the same heart. The charger is 0.1 seconds quicker and 7 to 8 miles faster than the challenger?

+Martin J Joseph I believe it comes down to slightly better traction on take off (possibly because of the additional weight) and less drag at top speed because of better aerodynamics. Thanks for watching 👍 www.wired.com/2014/08/how-dodge-made-its-new-sedan-even-faster-than-its-beastly-coupe/

Aerodynamics. Challenger is a brick, so you get more drag.

I'm wondering if the hellcat and demon will be a collector car? Will these cars be what the grand national was?

Weird, if you check cardealers at Sweden selling these, the 2017 and 2018 Hellcats both Challenger and Charger got 717 hp. Going from 2014-2016 they claim they have 707 hp! Just saying.

Whats the main purpose for the different keys? Why not just have the 707 HP come standard on all car keys?
