Hello sir, just wanted to say that I appreciate your thoroughness, stable camera work, and production style. This video has been a great help, thank you from California

Curious why you didn’t select jack mode from the on-screen service menu?

This was great. I was so scared of the air suspension - but this is straight forward. The compressor, does it have a waste gate? Mine sounds like it had a blowoff valve, of sorts. Pump pump pump, pssssht. Like air brakes. Thanks for the thoughts!

The green marks on all the nuts and bolts are done at the factory to show they have been tighten to the correct spec, an easy visual conformation afterwords

It would be interesting to see the bellows stripped off to actually see the damage beneath. Maybe that’s why the design was changed on later models

My 2016 90D started making that tapping sound last week. It's been driving me crazy in trying to figure out what that is. I'm gonna give that nut job a try.

@@InternetDude it was a loose lug nut lol. I re torqued them and haven't had the problem sense. I've literally never had that happen before. But it might be because of the wheel spacers.

Sounds like brakes or possibly the half shaft needs replaced. We lubed my hub and helped but noise went away fully since I just replaced both sides

Hi Paul Great video, thanks for posting. I’ve been chasing that rattling sound you speak of for two years myself. I have a 2012 S and it too was in a front end accident. I think I may have finally located the issue. Check your upper control arms where they connect on each side of the strut tower. Mine were cracked on driver and passenger side. Very hard to see unless you’re looking for it. Hope this helps.

Another great video Paul. It looks like you could do with a new front tyre, you've a couple of cuts to the sidewall there. Can you give us an idea what your charge times are like with different chargers please ?

With my granny charger is about 14 hours to get to 80%, at work its about 3 hours

Looking at Tesla‘s service manual it seems the suspension system needs to be topped up with nitrogen after deflation. Do you think you got around this as the pressure was still high enough after your repair?

Hi Paul, have you figured out that banging noise in the suspension. I have the same issue. Thanks in advance.

Could be the brake pads rattling in the carrier. Quite common with some aftermarket pads

I hope you can get your bag of nuts sorted Paul, it sounds painful! And as we're talking about torquing, just a note about tightening wheel nuts. Alloy wheels really should be torqued using the star pattern method. When you first install an alloy wheel, only tighten the nuts/bolts lightly, then lower the vehicle so the tire touches the ground, not full weight though. Your method after that should be at least partly like a cylinder head. Half the torque setting in a star pattern, then full torque in a star pattern. The main issue being that it has been known that an alloy wheel might crack if this method isn't followed. I was a tire fitter for about 6 years when allow wheels were just beginning to become available not just on Porsches etc. I'm sure some peeps will say they've never bothered about it and their wheels are fine, but why chance it?

Is it safe to support the front of the car on one stand in the middle of the crossmember like that? I don't think that's an approved mounting point.

Air suspensions are a pricey option on Tesla Model S & X. It allows easily adjusting ride height and stiffness. Air suspension has been problematic in all cars which use it. Why wags term Jaguar as "Saguar". The less options, the less things to break.

Don’t want to be a Jonah but I think you suspension compressor is on the way out( not quite). If you get time take a looke at the motor casing/ big end to see if there’s water in there , know it sounds unlikely but if so the bearing getting some drying out and lube may save more expense. ( £300 approx)
